Royal fans say the same thing as ‘naughty’ horse Apollo spotted straying from King Charles’ coronation procession

ROYAL fans watching the Kings’ coronation procession are all saying the same thing about one of the horses leading the historic event.

The drum horse, Apollo, appeared to have other plans in mind while trotting along the Mall.

Apollo has the military rank of Major – making him one of the most senior animals in the British Army.

However, while leading the procession to Westminster Abbey he repeatedly veered sideways.

Fans rushed to social media to give their opinions on the blunder.

One wrote: “Apollo the drum horse is definitely the “rogue element” here. He’s steering to the left a lot.”

Another joked: “Special award for Apollo the drum horse, who isn’t taking this seriously.”

A third said: “Apollo and Atlas are beautiful horses and imagine having to control such an animal whilst playing the drums and marching at a very specific pace.”

Around 3,800 members of the public in front of Buckingham Palace watched as the horse attempted to pull away from the group.

Standing crowds on either side of The Mall chanted “hip hip hooray” as the King’s Procession moved down the road lined with Union flags and other flags.

The King looked relaxed as he waved to the crowds from the Diamond Jubilee State Coach during the procession to Westminster Abbey.

The Queen also waved to well-wishers and was seen to check her hair with her hand during the journey.

It comes after eagle-eyed viewers during the Queen‘s Platinum Jubilee celebrations spotted a lone horse without a rider at Trooping the Colour.
