Well, that could soon be a problem of the past thanks to a bargain buy from Poundland.

Nathan Roche took to Facebook group and shared a snap of Citronella incense sticks.

Alongside the image, he penned: "Sun's out windows are open.

"These are brilliant Incense sticks.

"Poundland 30 sticks for £1.50 not had any flies in this weekend."

It wasn't long before the post racked up hundreds of likes and comments.

And one more chimed in: "We have these! I have put a few around my garden and back door. Smells great and works wonders."

However, elsewhere others issued a few warnings when it comes to using citronella sticks indoors and around pets.

"Citronella is toxic for all pets - please don't use them around animals!!" urged one.

Another wrote: "Citronella is not recommended for indoors."
