A VET has revealed three of her biggest qualms with dogs owners… but not everyone is pleased to hear her opinion.
Dr Laura Robinson is a registered veterinarian who has helped thousands of pets over the years.
But she warned that owners may be putting their four-legged friends at risk when socialising them or treating them for fleas.
Her first gripe was with dog parks, with the vet never taking her beloved rescue dog to one.
“I know they’re fun, but all I see is dog bites, fleas, ticks, intestinal parasites and other injuries,” she warned.
Dr Robinson also advised against giving your dogs antlers to chew on.

Antlers are a popular snack sold by a host of dog treat companies.
But according to the vet, they can put your pooch’s life at risk.

“It’s way too numerous to count.

“The rule of thumb is bang the thing you want to give your dog against your kneecap.
“If it hurts, it’s too hard.”
Interestingly, Dr Robinson also advised against “all natural” flea and tick products made from things like essential oils.
“These do not work,” she said.
“I repeat, these do not work.”
This nugget of advice ruffled a few feathers from dog owners who opt for organic remedies, as many suggested they do work and are better for dogs than strong chemical solutions.
“Guess what? I've had fleas four times in 40 years,” one hit back.
“All the c**p you sell is poison to your dog.
“Essential oils do work, if used correctly.
“If you don't understand all natural stuff maybe you need to take classes on natural remedies for dogs.”

“Been using natural flea and tick products for eight years and never had a flea or tick,” another replied.
“Better than toxic chemicals.”
