The skin secrets that keep Molly-Mae looking fresh and youthful – as a new mum with a hectic lifestyle

SHE'S just given birth to baby Bambi so you'd expect bags under her eyes but Molly-Mae Hague looks as fresh-faced as ever.

But it's not luck. The entrepreneur, who's just launched a new collab with PrettyLittleThing, spends a lot of time thinking about her skincare and has a pretty intensive routine to say the least.

And despite being just 24, she claimed she was seeing signs of ageing.

She said: “[Seeing pictures of myself] has been humbling to say the least and it's actually made me feel pretty a little bit crap because I have been trying to make a little bit more effort recently.”

She might be right. A 2012 study into the Encyclopedia of Body Image and Human Appearance found most women start to develop wrinkles and grey hairs in their mid to late 20s. However it will depend entirely on the individuals collagen production.

Women tend to develop more wrinkles than men because they have fewer sweat and sebaceous glands, not as many blood vessels, and different muscle structures that collectively make them more vulnerable to facial creasing.

Molly-Mae, who gave birth to Bambi in late January, spilt her skincare secrets on a vlog.

Speaking to her YouTube followers she detailed her skincare routine.

She said: " Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous girls do skincare when there baby has gone to bed."

Molly said she likes to switch up her routine with different products, but follows the same steps of in depth cleansing, a serum and a moisturizer.

She said: "I never ever get to the bottom of a product I hardly ever finish products because I love trying new things."

Now, Fabulous has spoken to a skincare expert to learn what is worth splurging on and how you can stop ageing in its tracks.

Molly starts off her routine with the Elemis Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm, the pricey makeup remover will set you back a whopping £48.

Beauty doesn’t come cheap but the cleansing balm is designed to help the skin produce more collagen which helps fight signs of ageing.

Cecilia said: “The Elemis Pro-Collagen Cleansing is a lovely, rich product which removes makeup very well. This will leave a residue on your skin so it’s worth following it with a foaming cleanser which she does!”

However the skincare expert highlighted Molly does make one fatal error when applying her skincare.

Cecilia said: “She removes the balm cleanser with what looks like a flannel, I would always avoid this as they can harbour bacteria and if you have acne or sensitive skin it will make it worse by spreading bacteria and making the skin inflamed.”

“I would suggest charcoal sponges instead as they are gentle on the skin and don’t harbour bacteria.”

If you looking for something a little more affordable the Inkey List sells an Oat Cleansing balm which will easily melt away sunscreen or make up. It retails for £11.99 and it perfect for those with sensitive skin.

Next Molly uses another cleanser, the L’Oreal Paris Gel Face Wash Cleanser which is a lot more affordable at just under £8.

The face wash is pumped with hyaluronic acid which help plump the skin and banishes developing wrinkles.

Molly said: “I'm gonna use this revive to lift L'Oreal free Plumping gel wash just as a bit of a cleanser for after my makeup removal.”

However the Love Island star confessed she was hoping for miracles from the cleanser.

“I really am in desperate need of a Hydra facial as I literally can see like the black dirt clogging up in my pores.”

For the next step in her routine L'Oreal Paris Revitalift Filler 1.5% Pure Hyaluronic Acid Serum, this is £24.99 through Boots.

Molly said: “Anything with the word filler in when you don't actually have to get filler I'm here for I'm always here for a little bit of extra plumpiness in my skin without having to actually get filler.”

This product received a thumbs up for skincare expert Cecila.

She said: “This is a great product as it's very hydrating which in turn will plump your skin. So you’ll be getting a filler-like effect- not actual filler.”

Finally Molly finishes with the pricey £67 Tatcha dewy skin cream.

Molly says: “I actually need to get a new one of these which says a lot about me because I never ever get to the bottom of a product. I hardly ever finish products because I love trying new things that I constantly return to. It's just absolutely incredible.”

However the skincare expert has revealed this cream is not ideal for all skin types.

Cecilia says: “This dewy skin cream which is great for hydration and a healthy glow however it is very rich so not something I would recommend to use every evening or if you have acne-prone skin.”

You can save a few bob and swap the Tatcha dewy skin cream for the Beauty Pie Japanfusion cream which retails at £18.

Cecilia says: "This power elixir has a similar consistency and ingredients such as fruit extracts, vitamin C and hyaluronic acid."

Overall, Molly's quick skincare routine is perfect for mums who have little time but still want to fight those signs of ageing.

Cecilia said: “All in all, I think her routine is great- I would add in an element of exfoliation such as a salicylic acid or retinol to help with cell renewal and anti ageing.”
