Doddington Hall, Lincolnshire

Also crowned as the best pumpkin patch in the UK, Doddington Hall lets adults and kids in for free.

Visitors only need to pay for the pumpkins that they pick, some of which you can nab for less than a fiver.

The pumpkin patch is also surrounded by walkthrough gardens and plenty of places to get your Instagram autumn shot.

Tapnell Farm Park, Yarmouth

Tapnell Farm also lets adults and children in for free.

You can enjoy the farm at your leisure, but parents will have to pay for tokens to take part in some activities, such as hooking a pumpkin and the ring toss.

Other activities are completely free, but if you do purchase tokens, they are entered into a prize draw to win season passes to the farm for your whole family.

Gower Fresh Christmas Trees, Swansea

Don’t be fooled by the name - this green space is home to a pumpkin patch too.

It’s free entry for everyone and like the others, you only pay for what you pick. Let your little ones run through the fields and choose the very best pumpkins for their carving activities.

And between 28th and 31st October, you can pay extra to divulge in other spooky Halloween activities hosted by the farm.

Charleston Fruit Farm, Montrose

It’s been open since September for budding Halloween fans and letting everyone in for free.

However, this Scottish pumpkin patch will shut its doors when it runs out of pumpkins, so you need to be quick.

You can nab a little orange one for as cheap as £1, with the maximum you’ll pay per pumpkin being £10.

Broadslap Fruit Farm, Perth

Also in Scotland, this pumpkin farm grows them in tunnels, meaning it’s a good day out even when it’s raining.
