I live in my car full time – it’s so cramped and I sleep on a loo roll mattress but there are so many pros

"This lifestyle change has allowed me to travel the country affordably at this stage in my life.

"While it is not always ideal, I do have all the essentials I need to survive day to day and am grateful that my car is still chugging along," she said.

At five foot nine inches tall, Angie's first problem when she moved into her car was working out how she'd sleep, since she's too tall to kip lengthways on the back seat.

Luckily, she got her hands on a thin mattress, which she lays on lengthways after removing the seats so her feet are in the boot.

Not wanting to waste any space, Angie stores toilet roll, water and other essentials under her mattress.

The rest of the storage space in the car is limited, but there's room for a box of food in the boot, as well as a few tools for emergencies.

"In the trunk I keep my pantry where I keep dried foods, nuts, protein powders, nuts and canned goods.

"I have enough food to survive on for weeks if needed," she explained, showing off the box.

One of the main problems Angie faces is washing her dirty laundry, which she keeps in a bag tucked away in her boot.

"I do need to stay on top of it or things start to smell real quick," she said.

Of course, as a single woman travelling alone, sometimes some privacy is needed, which is why Angie also carries a pop up tent with her wherever she goes.

It's not big enough to lay down in, but she does use it to change clothes and go to the toilet sometimes.

"I try to be prepared for every situation while also packing minimally," she said.

And since her car's windows aren't tinted things can get a bit creepy at night.

"I feel like I like in a fish tank, which makes me feel uneasy when trying to sleep," she said.

To fix this, Angie made her own window covers using carboard and black fabric, which she cut to the size of the windows.

After sharing her home on wheels off, people were amazed by how she fit so much in such a small space.

"You go girl!! I’m very proud of everything you have done to achieve your dreams! Congratulations!! You go girl," one person commented.

A second agreed: "Your home looks so well organised and you put a lot of thought into it - fair play to you for all of that and I admire your choice of lifestyle!
