A NANNY has revealed her top tips on how to stop your family from catching a dreaded sickness bug this winter.
And she said that the very first thing that you and your little ones should do is take off your shoes as soon as you step inside your home.
Lifting the lid on her handy cold-busting hacks, TikTok’s The Enchanted Nanny said there are also three other things to bear in mind.
The Enchanted Nanny, aka , explained: “Four musts for stopping sickness bugs entering your home.
“The first one is a huge one – take your shoes off when you come into your house and put them away.”

“He’s two and a half and they have this lovely atrium and it has an astroturf. He vomited all over it.”
While she offered to help, The Enchanted Nanny said the staff were fantastic and jumped straight on it, using an antibacterial spray to clean it thoroughly.
But she admitted that they did miss a few “little bits” which meant that “five minutes after he projectile vomited over the floor people were walking past.”

In a video posted to her social media profile, the woman, who is a parenting coach, continued: “The next one – when you get in., remove the clothes that you’ve had on all day and put on some loungewear.
“You’re going to feel great, but you’ll also be wearing clothes that don’t have the day’s bacteria on them.
“Put those clothes straight in the wash, or if you’re trying to be more environmentally friendly, just give them a spray down with some antibacterial spray that is clothing friendly.”
The Enchanted Nanny’s next piece of advice?
She went on to say: “The third one – wash your hands.
“When you get home, give them a really good scrub and make sure that you’ve got rid of all the day’s germs.”
She then drew on using ‘happy birthday’ to wash your hands, like we were recommended during the Covid pandemic.
The Enchanted Nanny added: “Get everyone in your family to do it too.”
Lastly, the lady told her 668.1k followers: “And number four is please make sure to use an antibacterial spray on all of those surfaces.
“You can get sprays where you spray it and leave it – you don’t have to do any cleaning or anything.
“But after each day, spray the light switches, and the door handles.”
