I was on Wild Child and have so many secrets about the film that no-one knows – including key scene that was cut
A WOMAN has revealed that she was a star on the hit film Wild Child and has now spilled the secrets that no-one knows about.
Acting alongside Emma Roberts and Shirley Henderson, Shelby Young played Ruby, main character Poppy’s ex-best friend.
The voice actor and impressionist took to social media to reveal all about the film - including the deleted scenes and the iconic moment that is actually CGI.
Shelby shared a clip online with the caption "some behind the scenes movie-making magic", as she said: “I have gotten tagged so many times, specifically in this clip from Wild Child, so I thought I’d do a duet and spill some behind the scenes secrets.”
In the clip, Poppy, who is played by Emma, jump into the ocean.
However, Shelby set the record straight on the scene, as she confirmed: “So when Poppy jumps right here, and you see her jumping into the water - that was all CGI.
“That house was not directly on a cliff - there was actually a grassy area where they put a crash pad for Poppy to jump onto.
“I know that blew my friends’ minds when I told them that.
“They filmed this water sequence at a later date - probably on a sound stage, just so they could control the lighting so it looked just as good as it did in the film.”
Shelby then revealed all on “deleted” parts, as she confirmed: “They deleted a lot of scenes from the beginning of the film for the theatrical release, but they’re on the DVD under ‘deleted scenes’.
“They really delved into Roddy and Poppy’s relationship, and Ruby and Poppy, showing how close they are, so that later when Ruby steals Roddy, it’s really messed up.”
Opening up about her starring role, Shelby claimed: “It was so much fun playing such a mean character. Ruby is the worst.
“But I had the best time on this set. It was so cool.”
The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @, has clearly left many stunned, as it has quickly amassed 433,800 views.
Social media users were open-mouthed at Shelby’s claims and were eager to express this in the comments.
One person said: “That blew my mind.”
Another added: “Omg suddenly it looks so obviously fake.”
A third commented: “I assumed it was a stunt double, but this is cool to know!”
