BOOZY BARGAIN

Asda is selling Baileys ice-cream that’s set to be a hit with pudding on Christmas Day

You can nab the festive dessert at other supermarkets too

BAILEYS fans are going wild for ice-cream flavoured by the iconic booze - and you won’t have to share it with your little ones.

The Irish cream drink has teamed up with Carte D'Or to produce the ultimate festive dessert

And as it’s got alcohol in it, you can finish the whole tub off without feeling guilty that you didn’t share with your kids.

At Asda, you can nab a 825ml tub for £3.50.

The ice-cream is also available at Tesco, but for £4.25.

Flavour experts who produced the festive ice-cream have described it as “an indulgent, festive ice-cream dessert”

It’s made with creamy Baileys flavour vanilla ice cream and Baileys flavour caramel, and topped with dark chocolate pieces.

“The combination of two winning brands for the Ultimate festive dessert: Carte D'Or and Baileys,” the creators added.

Foodies have taken to Facebook to gush over the boozy dessert - and many are getting their freezers stocked with it ahead of Christmas Day.

“This is insane,” one said.

“I had to go out and buy more tubs as I couldn’t resist finishing them off before Christmas!”

“Now this is an elite ice-cream,” another beamed.

Baileys Original Irish Cream is a liquid marriage of Irish whiskey and spirits, Irish dairy cream, rich chocolate and vanilla flavours.

Millions of British households stock up at Christmas, with the drink solidifying its festive status over the last few decades.

It can be drunk neat over ice, shaken into cocktails, drizzled over ice-cream and even baked into a cake.

Baileys fans were also rushing to Morrisons earlier this week after the supermarket slashed its 1L bottles to £9.99.

That means it's the cheapest around this Christmas - unless any of the other giants reduce it further in the next four days.
