MOST of us are still trying to find ways to save money, especially as energy bills continue to increase this winter.
Fortunately, many people have shared their go-to hacks to keep the bills low by not using the money-guzzling tumble dryer while staying on top of laundry.
Many have turned to using clothes airers to dry their laundry without using the electric - but this process can still take days to dry your clothes.
To make the process even quicker, some are using a money-saving initiative by using electric airers with a dehumidifier in the room.
The logic is simple - airers hang the clothes indoors will the dehumidifier sucks up any excess moisture in the air making for speedy drying time.
But one money-saving whizz has shared his go-to method which includes using an electric airer.

Posting his hack to the TikTok account @- he revealed how to make your towels dry even faster by folding the wings of the airer over the towel once it was hung.
He explained: “If you have a heated electric airer and you’re trying to dry something fast, like a wet towel, that takes ages, what you do is fold the wings over and it will dry a lot quicker.”
This way, both sides of the towel will be getting lots of heat to speed up the drying time.
Some users pointed out a potential safety issue with the hack, with one writing: “It does say specifically not to do this in the instruction, it does work though.”

Othes shared an extra tip to make the drying process even faster.

Meanwhile many suggested using a dehumidifier in conjunction with the airer or placing a bed sheet on top to keep the hot air in.
A third said: "I do this. I have a dehumidifier as well, both are really cheap to run."
"I just put a dehumidifier next to it,” claimed a fourth.
Someone else added: "put a sheet over the top to keep the heat in, it will dry even quicker."
