A MAN who worked in hospitality for seven years has revealed the nasty stuff he's seen on the job.
Harry Marjoram, 21, dished out all the dirty secrets of the job - including why you shouldn't order ice in your drink.
"Be careful next time you go for food," the server, who has worked in hospitality since the age of 14 penned.
When you go out to eat you expect to have the best service.
But Harry revealed the grime truth that goes on behind closed doors.
Taking to social media he said: "I worked in hospitality for seven years and here's what goes on behind the scenes that no one wants you to know.
"I wouldn't order ice in your drink next time because there's an ice machine out the back that probably hasn't been cleaned for about two months."
"Black mould in ice machines can actually cause death," he added, which the states can cause respiratory problems and rashes.
He went on to claim: "The waiter that's handling your food probably hasn't washed their hands through their whole shift.
"Let's say you're eating dinner at 5pm, they've probably been there for about eight hours already - that's gross.

'"here's no doubt that a chip has fallen off your plate in the time it has taken for it to get to from the kitchen to you and the waitress has just put it back on the plate - you're eating chips that have been on the floor.
"Once I saw someone sneeze while they were carrying four plates - they obviously couldn't cover their mouth - a waitress has probably sneezed all over your food."
Continuing with theme of poor hygiene, Harry said: "If you see the bartender and your waitress disappear they're probably having a quickie in the toilets.
"It's happened more times than I can even count and no they're not washing their hands or cleaning anything up when they come back - they're getting straight back to work."
The server also admitted it was blisteringly hot working as a server in the summer months.
He revealed: "In summer it obviously gets really really hot - you're naturally going to sweat.
"I used to work with a woman who used to wipe her forehead with the same blue paper towel all day and keep it in her pocket - it's f****** disgusting.
"If you go to a restaurant and it hasn't got an open plan kitchen, you probably don't wanna be there because the chef's are locked away and you can't see them for a reason - they're f****** disgusting."
He also warned that table may not be as clean as it looks.
"The cutlery on your table might look clean," but in his experience, this is probably because someone just breathed on it and then wiped it.
The TikToker added: "It hasn't been washed. The table probably hasn't been wiped properly either, maybe a damp tea towel that's been sat out the back for three hours has gone on your table.
"There's no anti-bac on there, your table is disgusting."
He finished the video admitting there was a lot more to know about the behind-the-scenes of the hospitality industry.
Harry said: "If you didn't know any of this and this has really opened your eyes to the behind the scenes of hospitality, let me know if you want to know anything else because there's so much more that you probably should know."
The clip soon went viral with over 400k views and 53k likes over on his TikTok account @.
People were quick to share their thoughts in the comments as well as their own stories of working in the sector.
One person wrote: "I once saw a chef drop garlic bread from a kids dish on the floor, and put it back on the plate."
Another commented: "I did it for like two months the chef that I worked with just sweated all the time, the sweat would be DRIPPING."
"I never want to eat out again," penned a third.
Meanwhile a fourth said: "I’ve never done or seen any of these except the ice machine."
"I’m a server and I wash my hands about 30 times a day,” claimed a fifth.
