I’m a mum of 12 and I hate New Year’s resolutions – but I have drawn up a masterplan for 2024
Zoe Sullivan has set herself some targets for the new year
A SUPERMUM revealed she hates New Year’s resolutions and refuses to take part in the tradition.
Zoe Sullivan, who has 12 kids, believes setting them puts too much pressure on her so it’s something she avoids.
But she has drawn up some goals for 2024, as well as lifting the lid on the things she’ll be clinging to during the year.
These include not stressing so much about washing or caring about what other people think about her.
Zoe said: “We are not really ones for New Year’s resolutions anymore.
“It just puts unnecessary pressure on yourself to achieve things that are sometimes unachievable, which in turn makes you feel like you have failed if you don’t achieve them
“So we just don’t do that over here.”
Zoe and hubby Ben, from Burghead, Moray, are parents to one of Scotland’s biggest families.
Their kids are aged from 18 to one and the couple regularly give updates about their lives on social media.
Zoe admitted she has set herself some improvements that she wants to hit over the next 12 months.
She said: “I would like to get out for more walks. I would also like to eat a little healthier.
“Not necessarily to lose weight but to feel a little better about myself and for my general health.
“I’ll continue to look after my mental health as well as my physical health.
“I will stop letting the negativity around what we do affect me and stop caring so much what people think.”
But Zoe admitted that there is one food that she won’t be saying goodbye to despite her healthy eating plan.
She said: “I consider chocolate to be a staple part of my diet so that won’t be going anywhere.”
Zoe told how she has drafted her own masterplan for 2024 which doesn’t involve any resolutions.
She shared it on her for her followers.
She said: “There will always be washing. The baskets will always be full, and there will always be piles of clean washing to put away.
“Only one room will be tidy and clean at any one time.
The rest will be in varying stages of tidy and/or clean. Having 14 people under one roof is like running a small hotel and I must remember that.”
She warned her army of fans that if they end up in the car with her there will always be singing, good or not.
And she urged them to live for the moment especially when splashing out on new outfits.
She said: “Wear the clothes. It’s nice to save some things for special occasions,
“But if you buy something because you like it, don’t save all the nice things for best.”
Zoe, Ben and the rest of the family are now looking forward to what the new year brings.
Zoe said: “Overall 2023 has been a great year and we have achieved so many of the things that we wanted to.
“We’ve had our ups and downs just like anyone else but we’ve got through it all together.”
