Woman shares nifty hack to track down your favourite sold out The Range items & people are left stunned by her discovery
She used the hack to get the kitchen table of her dreams
A WOMAN has left people stunned after revealing her nifty hack to track down sold out items at The Range.
Cathryn explained that she’d fallen in love with a dining table and bench set in The Range, but it was out of stock in store, and on The Range website it said it was “only available for pre order, delivery April!”
But after having a hunt online, Cathryn found the same set on the Wilko website, and quickly signed up for an alert to let her know when it came back into stock.
She took to the to share the hack, writing: “Bit of a bargain, more of a tip.. if you like furniture or anything at the Range but it’s out of stock, check on Wilkos website (the Range recently bought them), and sign up for alerts when it’s back in stock!
“I couldn’t find alerts on the Range website.”
When she’d signed up for the alerts on the Wilko website, she soon received a notification that one was in stock.
So, she jumped online and ordered it, and it’s apparently going to be delivered this Monday.
“Much cheaper than any other similar dining tables I’ve found though,” she added.
“And Wilkos do free delivery- £9.95 through the Range. Made up!”
Cathryn then returned to the post to add an edit, writing: “Bench is £99 & table is £149 bought separately!
“The next best was dunelm for £349 for a set with 2 benches included but I only want 1 to put coloured chairs on one side.”
People were quick to comment on the post, with one writing: “How sick is this!”
“Lovely table,” another praised.
“You can get very similar table and benches from Argos for £199,” someone else pointed out.
But Cathryn replied: “I couldn’t find anything on there that was the right size or colour for our kitchen.
“The next closest was dunelm where you had to buy the set with 2 benches but I only want 1!”
“Just check for quality on arrival and keep your receipts,” someone else suggested.
“Everything I’ve ever bought from the range has broken not long after owning and it’s been a real battle to get money back.
“Worst was a hot tub which took me over a year to actually get refunded despite it being within time and under warranty, massive head ache and had to get trading standards involved.
“Hopefully this is a bargain for you and you have no issues though.”
“Thank you I definitely will!!” Cathryn responded.
“The quality in store was great, much better than the other tables there, so fingers crossed!”
Wilko relaunched online in October last year, after The Range signed a deal to buy the brand, website and intellectual property for £5 million.
