‘Don’t be fooled’ Primark shopper says after being duped over ‘sale item’ that wasn’t really reduced in price
A PRIMARK shopper has advised fellow fans to be more careful after the retailer had allegedly duped them over a sale item.
Primark are know for their cut-price goodies - but are you really getting a good deal? Well, according to one customer, you may want to start inspecting the stickers properly.
The make-up lover, who remains anonymous, took to Facebook to explain how they were allegedly tricked into bagging a beauty product they thought was a great bargain.
According to the shopper, they had spotted nail polish going for a mere 50p after reportedly retailing for £1, meaning it had been slashed by 50 per cent.
However, upon removing the red sticker, the Primark fan was in for a surprise, as they discovered that the original price was actually 60p - so instead of saving 50p, they'd saved just 10p.
''Just seen this weekend in Primark. Don't be fooled about offers just because it says "sale" or "reduced",'' the person wrote in .

''I believed to have seen these varnishes at 60p before, so I peel the stick off and obviously the offer was not that great.''
The , which is available in three gorgeous shades, including dark red and green, sells for 60p online.
The Sun have reached out to Primark for comment.
Over a hundred of members of the popular raced to share their thoughts, with some saying it was a cheaper deal nonetheless.

One said: ''Still on sale saving 10p.''
Another agreed, adding: ''It's still cheaper than the original price either way so who cares.''
''Still a saving. Creating unnecessary drama for no reason,'' someone else chimed in.
''Unfortunately just like everything else, they’ve gone up due to inflation. So the sale price is very much still a sale price,'' a fourth penned.
Recently, the store also revealed a MAJOR change in the beauty section - and shoppers have been left fuming.
Shoppers were gutted that the '120pk PS… Cotton Cosmetic Pads’, which cost 50p, were to be removed from shelves and instead replaced with reusable pads instead.
One employee said: “One of my most recently asked questions in Primark is ‘where are the cotton pads?’
“And to answer your question - we discontinued them.
“Primark has chosen to take a more environmentally-friendly route, which is where we introduce the reusable cleansing pads.
“They come in packs of 10 [£2], packs of five [£2.50].
“We also have a Glow Skin Set [£2.50], which has three different types of pads in it.
“A set that has three different size cleansing pads [£2.50].
“We also sell these wash bag sets [£2] - they are perfect for your pads to go straight into the washing machine.”
But although this is certainly a better option for the climate crisis, not everyone was impressed, taking to comments to express their disappointment.
One person said: “Nooooooooooooo, I'm officially heartbroken.”
