MUM-OF-22 Sue Radford has bravely opened up about her experience of giving birth to the couple's first child, Christopher, now 34.

Sue, who was just 13 at the time, described the horrific experience as ''absolutely horrendous'', their first-ever page-turner book, , revealed.

Recalling the labour, Sue - whose kids were ''all natural'' - said she had to be cut, however the midwife hadn't numbed her enough.

''I needed stitches and could feel the needle going in and the thread coming out.

''I can still hear the noises associated with it all,'' said the 48-year-old now, over three decades later.

''It was absolutely terrible''.

Hubby Noel, whom Sue has been married to for over 30 years, also chimed in, echoing just how ''bad'' it all was.

''If anyone has ever cut through bacon rind with an old pair of scissors, it was like that - the noise. It was just awful.''

After the terrific and somewhat traumatising experience of giving birth to Christopher, the eldest of the bumper brood, Sue vowed to not fall pregnant again.

''At that moment, I just thought, 'Right, that's it. I NEVER want to have any more children. I can't go through all this again'.''

But then, fans of Britain's biggest family, the Radfords, will know that the couple found themselves pregnant with their second tot, Sophie, four years later.

History, said Noel, could've been ''so different'' if they had stopped ''after Chris because of what Sue went through''.

''It would have been 'Sue and Noel, mum and dad of one!' ''

But thankfully, Sophie's birth 28 years ago was a different story - and they went on to have 20 more kids, the youngest of whom Heidi will celebrate her fourth birthday in April.

Their brand new book, which sells for £16.99 on Amazon, is full of surprises - and yesterday, we reported on Noel's experience with vasectomy reversal in his early 30s.

The couple, he recalled, went on to regret the vasectomy surgery as soon as they'd left the hospital - and it even had a negative impact on their relationship.

''I don't think me and Noel were getting on too great at the time - probably starting from when the appointment had been made six weeks before the vasectomy was carried out,'' Sue said.

''It was the realisation that it was all final and there would be no more children - our relationship definitely changed at that time.''

It was then decided to have it reversed - but little did Noel know what he had signed up for, as the procedure was ''more complicated'' this time, also costing them £1.3K.

''[...] I always wanted to go ahead with it - from the minute we had arranged it to the minute I was put under so they could carry it out.

''We know this was what we definitely wanted - and it was the best thing I ever did.

''The vasectomy had been a terrible mistake, and was the worst thing I ever did.''

Whilst the reversal did not give the dad ''any pain'', the bruising was so intense that his ''meat and veg'' had turned ''all black''.

''Honestly, I have never, ever seen anything like it,'' Sue recalled.
