A COUPLE have revealed how it’s Christmas Day in their household all year round.
Santa-mad Ashley and Dan, from Michigan, shared how they transformed their unused basement into the ultimate festive grotto.
In a clip, Ashley gave a tour around their decorated downstairs space, which is Christmas-themed for 365 days of the year.
As you walk down the stairs, there is a North Pole sign above the door and you are immediately treated to the sight of the first Christmas tree.
The space has been decked out with an array of decorations, from grottos to light-up singing ornaments to themed mugs.
Speaking to her followers, travel blogger Ashley shared on her account: “I HAVE A CHRISTMAS BASEMENT!

“While Christmas may be over for all of you… it’s going on all year for me, baby!”
In her words, the yuletide basement looks like “Christmas threw up” there.
She continued: “When Dan and I moved into our house, we had NO IDEA what to do with our basement.
“Around the time we moved, we visited a completely decked out Christmas bar in our city.

“And that’s when it hit us… we needed to create a Christmas basement!!
“So… for the last few years, we have scoured thrift stores and clearance sections for all the Christmas goodies!!”
Every inch of the large space is covered, from the wrapping bows stuck above the stairs, to the wrapping paper lining the ceiling.
There is even an electric toy train set running on the floor to add to the ambience.
Ashley’s video has racked up a lot of attention, and many people loved the idea.
One said: “This is so nostalgic. Especially with the furniture. Reminds me of being a kid when Christmas was magical.”
Another added: “This is incredible. I absolutely love this. I’ve personally always HATED cleaning up and putting away all the Christmas decor in early January.
“I think having like a designated room that’s always decorated for folks like us who miss it, would be such a lift on those tough days during the rest of the year.”
However, one joked: “Idk why but this gives me serial killer vibes. Like the beginning of a dateline episode or something.”
