I work at Sainsbury’s and got so much abuse from customers when our systems went down – it’s not my fault though
A SAINSBURY'S employee has revealed she had abuse hurled at her when the supermarket's systems went down.
Both Sainsbury's and Tesco had a major meltdown when an IT outage led to them cancelling home deliveries and unable to accept cards in store.
"I work in a Sainsbury's, our systems are down and it’s not our fault.
"We are doing everything we can to serve as quickly and efficiently as possible.

"I work for Sainsbury's - been to work this morning you don't realise until it goes down how many people use apple pay etc," another said.
"Also if you have any clothing click and collects we are unable to give these out or do returns."
"Please remember the people on the shop floor cannot control this issue, so please don’t shout at them," a third commented.
"I’m currently at work at Sainsburys and working on the only till that is working - it’s a nightmare," someone else admitted.
"I work at M&S - absolute solidarity as we were in a similar position a few months ago, and I know how miserable it was," another said.
"Went Sainsbury's this morning and was a nightmare, even the atm machines weren't working so couldn't get cash out," someone else admitted.

"This is precisely why I believe cash is king," another said.
"I avoid places once I know they are cashless. I have a right to pay how I want."
"I ended up having to get cash out after trying chip n pin 3 times," someone else admitted.
"This is why I love to keep cash on me," another wrote.
"Means I can still shop if I need to!"
The IT failure led to full trolleys being dumped in store, as frustrated shoppers stormed out in anger.
Argos and Habitat - which have concessions inside Sainsbury's supermarkets - were also impacted.
A Sainsbury's spokesperson said the supermarket's IT systems were back up and running by 4.30pm on Saturday.
They said: "We can confirm that contactless payments are now back up and running in all our stores, alongside all other forms of payment.
