‘I’d love to sleep with the kids instead’ Vogue Williams ponders banishing ‘lone’ Spencer Matthews to the spare room
The couple also reveal which celebrity has inspired them to make this move
MUM-OF-THREE Vogue Williams has opened up about her relationship with ”lone wolf” hubby Spencer Matthews – and how he may end up in the family’s spare room.
The bubbly duo, Vogue and Spencer, may have tied the knot not long ago in 2018 – but the couple, 38 and 35, are already considering sleeping in separate bedrooms.
The Irish model and her husband, who share three children together, explained that there is a very simple reason behind this – and no, there’s no need for concern of a break-up in their marriage.
Chatting in the fan-loved podcast, , that was aired earlier today, the couple said this move could actually benefit their relationship.
According to the media personality, this comes after the Hollywood actor Robert Downey Jr. shared the secret to being in a happy place with his wife ”for a very long time” of close to two decades.
”I read this the other day – it’s something like you can’t spend too much time apart,” Spencer said in the episode.
”But also the overwhelming evidence from all these professionals and marriage counsellors is that people should have separate bedrooms.”
The two quickly came to agree that they certainly wouldn’t be opposed to the idea – and they’d even consider getting a ”sex pit” in the house.
Vogue chimed in: ”I wouldn’t be completely against having a different bedroom to you – only because then I’d have the kids in the bedroom.
”I’d love that,” chuckled the mum – who recently revealed she puts away cash for her kids so they don’t ”sue” her for being a mummy blogger.
”You’re fine on your own – you’re a lone wolf,” she told Spencer.
”You can watch your s**te TV and you’d be happy.”
According to the mum-of-three, they only try to spend a maximum of three nights away from their kids, as they’re still quite ”small”.
Steamy intimate life
The couple have always been very open about their relationship and last summer, they shocked their fans after confessing how often they have sex.
Vogue, then 37, told their listeners: “Couples are having sex less than ever before – 30% less than our parents.”
Spencer, then 34, jumped in and said: “Not in our house! Okay, I’m going to put something out there and it’s going to upset a lot of parents.”
He continued: “You and I have sex all the time, ok, so listen to this – we have sex quite a lot, don’t we? We’re on a real hot streak.
“The last 3 or 4 weeks – there’s probably only about 2 nights where we haven’t had sex.”
Vogue replied: “We’re on a hot streak – it doesn’t mean we’re always going to be on a hot streak.”
She then added: “I now regret the sex chat.”
