The runway is awash with skimpy bralets right now.

Deconstructed shirts

The classic shirt has been given a dramatic makeover.

Oversized, cropped and cut-out shirts were a real hit at New York Fashion Week.

Eighties

This controversial fashion decade is showing no sign of leaving our wardrobes and the bold era of Dynasty is back for yet another season.

Shoulder pads, Spandex leggings and puffball sleeves are set to be all the rage this year, thanks to posh design houses such as Saint Laurent.

Fuchsia

Think pink, but not the sickly bubblegum kind. Instead, go for  a splash of bright fuchsia, as seen on the runway  for  Valentino and Balenciaga.

Gingham

This patterned favourite will be seen in skirts, dresses, shorts and trousers.

The high street cottoned on to the catwalk obsession after House of Holland had a hit with the look.

Hemlines

Asymetric, frayed and uneven styles mean  neat hems are out.

Really, the crazier you can make it, the better, as irregular edging from the likes of JW Anderson has filtered on to the high street.

Iridescent

 

Move aside metallics – 2017’s version of last year’s look has more of a sweet- wrapper shine.

SS17 has said “ahoy there” to nautical.

The classic trend gets a stylish update with rope details and navy shades.

Oversized

PVC

PVC is the latest X-rated material  to grace the the  high street.

Topshop Unique showcased shiny rubber on the catwalk – and now you can bag a budget-friendly version for yourself in store.

Quirky motifs

Have  fun with fashion and look out for items that have a quirky  twist.   These fluffy sliders with sequin pineapples on them fit the bill perfectly.

Ruffles

Frills are not going anywhere in 2017.
