LIMESCALE in toilet bowls is never a pleasant sight.

You might clean it all the time, but the build up of minerals in constant running water means the limescale can become tough to remove.

Typically, it is caused by a build-up of magnesium and calcium deposits which are left behind as a result of hard water.

This can cause stubborn stains and scaling running throughout the toilet bowl no matter how much bleach you put in.

Fortunately, a Mrs Hinch cleaning fan has shared the easy hack she found to banish the ugly looking stains for good and no, it's not by using vinegar.

And the best part? You won't even have to scrub.

Posting on the Facebook group,  Cleaning Tips, Clare Bear revealed how she got her toilet looking brand new.

Mrs Hinch became a viral sensation on Instagram and one of the first 'cleanfluencers' after sharing her cleaning and organisation tips online.

The savvy woman wrote: "Just wanted to share a hack I found, it may already be known so apologies if so.

"Anyway, I had so much limescale in my toilet and nothing was shifting it. I left two Calgon tablets to dissolve in the water and it’s all gone. I’m over the moon."

Another commented: "Baby oil works too. Leave around the rim for 15 to 30 minutes or longer if need be, then toilet brush around the rim then flush."

"Bar Keepers Friend is a pretty good toilet cleaner too," penned a third.

"Just pop several caps full of the powder in the loo and leave for an hour or so. Then a good brush."
