MICRO thongs, teeny bikinis, and barely-there bodysuits have become the norm for some of Hollywood's most photographed stars.

The look can leave little to the imagination down below — and has some people scratching their heads as to how the celebs achieve such a flat, Barbie-like look.

In recent years, bikinis have gotten smaller and smaller — thanks in part to Kim Kardashian's Skims, which went viral for its itsy-bitsy micro thongs and swimsuits.

The bottom fabric of the trend barely covers anything, and the look has left many social media users scrutinizing photos of celebrities.

In 2022, Kendall Jenner posted outtakes from a Skims shoot in which she modeled the micro bottoms — prompting people to accuse her of using Photoshop.

"This photo is very photoshopped. Kendall is obviously very gorgeous but these are not her real proportions, nor are they anybody's," wrote one Instagrammer.

"This isn’t a Beach Edition Barbie doll. This is Kendall Jenner. Except where have her private parts gone?" asked Emily Hartle in an article on .

She's not the only one: Social media users have made similar comments about her big sister Kim, as well as her ex-brother-in-law's new wife Bianca Censori.

Even Khloe Kardashian called out Kim for her micro Skims bottoms, calling the fabric a "sliver" on Keeping Up with the Kardashians.

"Is it just supposed to cover my cl*t? The vagina needs a little more fabric, just a little wider," she said.

According to a labiaplasty expert, some stars may have added "Barbie" makeovers to their nip-tuck lists to achieve this look, including "trimming" their lower parts.

Urologist claimed that in these instances, celebrities might want their labia to look “flush.”

She said this would involve labiaplasty to change the shape and look.

“We can only really suspect things here with people like Kendall Jenner and Bianca Censori," Milhouse told The U.S. Sun.

“If they did any work, they likely made a minor reduction in labiaplasty.

Celebrities may want this new Barbie look, where the vulva is flush and no labia minora is visible.

Dr. Fenwa Milhouse

“The most common thing we see in the industry is people wanting their labia to be flush.

“Aesthetically, people prefer the labia minora to be minimal and not protrude beyond the labia majora.

“Celebrities may want this new Barbie look, where the vulva is flush and no labia minora is visible."

“Celebrities may also be getting work done for wearing things like tiny bikinis."

Labiaplasty involves reducing or reshaping the labia minora and labia majora, also known as the inner and outer lips of the vagina.

Surgeons also carry out the procedure for medical reasons like discomfort.

The procedure is popular because it promises symmetry and proportionality.

In 2021, 18,813 labiaplasty procedures were reported in the US, a 36% increase from 2020.

It is the new frontier of cosmetic surgery. It is being talked about in multiple circles and is becoming less taboo and more usual.

Dr. Fenwa Milhouse

According to the , 164,667 labiaplasties were reported in 2020, a 73% increase from 2015.

Milhouse suggested the “trend” has also been growing outside of showbiz circles.

“This is a trend that we are seeing and not only in Hollywood,” she said.

“I like to tell people it is the new frontier of cosmetic surgery.

“It is being talked about in multiple circles and is becoming less taboo and more usual.

“However, this is not somebody who is saying, 'My sex life sucks, and I want my labia to look this way, and I think if I do that, my sex life will be great.'

“The surgery we are discussing here is for someone who does not like how her labia looks.

“There are also an array of other general procedures for this area.

This is not as common as labial work, which involves reducing or trimming the labia minora or inner lips.

Dr. Fenwa Milhouse

"There is vaginoplasty, which is where you go to get the vagina tightened.

“This is not as common as labial work, which involves reducing or trimming the labia minora or inner lips.”

Reality star Khloe Kardashian spoke about undergoing this type of vagina tightening in 2016.

“My sisters, they’ve had kids, and there’s a vaginal lasering to tighten,” she said on her talk show, Kocktails With Khloé.

“In my household, all they do is talk about this vagina lasering. It’s like their discussion back and forth.”

Jada Pinkett Smith made headlines by discussing her vaginal rejuvenation treatment on Red Table Talks.

Dr. Milford suggested these procedures differed from the Barbie look.

“There are a few people whose labia are so long that they feel the weight of activities like walking, exercising, and penetration,” she explained.

“These people have to move it over, and it causes friction and rubbing. Those are a minority.

When somebody says labial puff, they are referring to the labia majora and volumizing that.

Dr Milhouse

revealed that labiaplasty can cost thousands of dollars.

“Labiaplasty's average cost around the country is between $3,000 to $8,000.

“Labiaplasty recovery time is decent with the procedure done in the office or the operating room.

“The delicate stitches need to heal, and so that means that you have a minimum of six weeks before you can resume sexual activity.”

Dr. Milhouse claimed another surgical trend was getting “labial puffs.”

She said patients might opt for this because of aging and “deflation.”

“Most people are not trying to reduce the outer lips," she said.

"They are plumping the outer lips, and so do a labia majora augmentation.

“When somebody says labial puff, they are referring to the labia majora and volumizing that.

"This does not mean we are giving a big fat camel toe appearance.

The process of augmenting the outer labia is usually done with fillers, either fat grafting.

Dr Milhouse

“Most people want a little volume so that it is all even.

“Naturally, over time, our bodies lose the outer lips where there is fat, and we lose volume.

“The aesthetic desire that most people are trying to achieve is to add a little volume and restore.

“The process of augmenting the outer labia is usually done with fillers, or fat grafting.

“Fat is taken from liposuction and then put into the labia majora.

“Dermal fillers can also be used.

“Labial puffs can cost between $1,500 and $4,000.”
