A WOMAN has revealed her shock after she suggested an awful name for her best friend's baby as a joke, and the friend actually gave the name to her child.

The woman said she feels terrible for her friend's son, who will now be lumbered with the joke name forever.

Taking to Reddit, the woman said: "When my best friend was pregnant with her son, she had a huge list of names.

"On the list was Oliver.

"She asked me which one I liked best.

"I told her Oliver, but I spelled it Aulliver as a joke (we were messaging).

"She laughed and the conversation moved on.

"A few months later, she gave birth and made a Facebook announcement.

"She'd named him Aulliver,

"I'm sorry my boy. I didn't think she'd do that!"
