But her skin remains healthy and glowing at the age of 48.

Revealing the secrets to her limited skincare routine, she told us: "I’m an ex-skincare formulator so I’ve always made my own skincare since I was a teenager.

"I keep it very basic. I cleanse and I oil. That’s really all you need.

"It’s very low cost to make your own. You can make one or two years’ worth at a time."

And Star, author of , argues that skin health is "90 per cent diet and 10 per cent what you’re putting on it".

So instead of wasting money on pricey skincare products that contain ingredients like fruit, she goes straight to the source.

She revealed: "If you look at a lot of modern skincare that claims to have a lot of bioactive ingredients you’ll see they often come from fruits. They’re all fruit extracts.

"So what do you think’s more effective – 5g of skincare product with 1% mango or papaya in it or to eat that papaya, all 150g of it?

"People will say they’re not spending £2 on a papaya but will happily pay £30 for a skincare product with papaya extract in it. It’s insane to me.

"When I see what other people spend on skincare products and I look at the label, and they’re quite useless, I’m astounded.

"People are paying £30 for a moisturiser that’s 90 per cent water. Why not just drink some water?"

Star is so passionate about her anti-ageing food hacks that she created the to help others.

The entrepreneur, who runs the , told us: "The Facelift Diet is basically a fruit-centric and plant-based anti-ageing diets.

"It’s about eating anti-ageing foods in abundance. It’s not restrictive or calorie counting or anything.

"Certain foods have rejuvenating properties and you can slow down ageing with your diet."

And emphasising how much fruit can help, Star added: "It's all about fruit. If you take anything away from this, eat more fruit.

"All fruit, especially the colourful and juicy fruits. Your mangoes, pineapples, oranges, they are the fountain of youth.

"Think about it this way, you want to be a juicy colourful grape not a brown, shrivelled raisin."

We told earlier how Star's skin looks so youthful that people often mistake her for someone a decade younger.

She said: "Because I was always working on my own health and nutrition, and made my own skincare, I’ve always looked pretty good.
