A PROFESSIONAL dry cleaner has shared the tricks he uses to make white clothes look as good as new.

The laundry expert demonstrated his top two cleaning methods, which require unexpected products.

In his viral , Zachary Pozniak (), who describes himself as "New York's finest dry cleaner," broke down his top tips.

The Instagrammer showed his audience how to remove sweat stains and make their whites look new again.

He explained that yellow stains usually form on the collar and the underarms of shirts.

Zachary held a white cloth against his yellowed tee to show the extent of the discoloration.

He began by pre-treating the stain with water and dish soap and then applying an all-purpose stain-removing spray.

"We want to get to the root of the issue before whitening so this doesn’t come back," Zachary explained.

After washing the T-shirt, he broke down his two favorite methods for whitening and brightening.

He began with the "easier and less time-consuming method" which involved spraying 3% hydrogen peroxide on the yellow areas and letting them air dry.

However, Zachary demonstrated his "more effective method" for brightening your white laundry items.

The expert recommended soaking your garments in hot water and powdered oxygen bleach overnight.

After removing the white tee, Zachary rewashed it before showing his viewers the result.

"The soaking method took care of those yellow stains and gave the T-shirt some new life," he said.

Zachary warned his followers that oxygen bleach "takes lots of time to work."

He explained that his more effective method requires patience to see results.

The dry cleaner showed his audience a side-by-side comparison of the shirt before and after he washed it.

Tip to remove yellow sweat stains

Yellow armpit stains affects everyone, whether people care to admit to it or not. But there is help at hand. To remove yellow stains from your clothing, experts recommend the following methods:

  • Baking soda paste: The pros at recommend mixing one tablespoon of hydrogen peroxide with one tablespoon of salt, and ½ cup of baking soda. Apply directly to the stain with a toothbrush, rub, and let the mixture sit for at least an hour, then wash as normal.
  • Oxygen bleach: This method is just as useful for removing yellow stains. Mix one part of oxygen-based bleach with one part of ammonia in a non-metal bowl. Wear gloves during this application. Rub into the fabric with a toothbrush and allow the solution to sit for at least ten minutes before laundering as normal.
  • Stain remover or detergent: Stains on collars can be stubborn to remove as armpit stains. So pretreat the area using a solvent-based stain-removing agent or detergent. Work the product into the collar with a toothbrush and allow it to sit for at least ten minutes before washing.
