In fact, amateur gardeners can’t seem to get enough of the hanging baskets after they were shared on Facebook earlier this week.

Originally posted in the Gardening on a Budget group, one member revealed that she’d found the hanging baskets in Poundland but knew they could be used in so many ways.

Sharing a photo in the group, she wrote: “Found these in Poundland today. They're meant to be hanging baskets but I'm thinking lights or bird feeders.”

It’s not hard to see why the gardener had instantly fallen for the accessory, as they had a chic spherical design and brass effect finish.

They even had a removable liners so you could use the hanging basket how you wished – not bad for just £3.

Unsurprisingly, others in the group also went completely potty over the garden accessory too.

One excitedly gushed: “Guess where I'm going tomorrow, lol.”

Some also said that they’d also been looking for similar garden accessories and commented that they’d make ‘lovely bird feeders’.

Another added that they were planning to use the hanging baskets in an alternative way, writing: “I've been looking for that for above my bed.”

come in a range of cute pastel shades, with little rope handles and will look great no matter the size of your outdoor space.

Perfect for adding small blooms, these could be hung along your fence for a splash of colour over the summer months.

Alternatively, you can pop them on your balcony or window sill, with the plant pots being durable enough to grow fresh herbs in.

Coming in either white, yellow, lilac or green, the pots cost only £2 so we don’t think they will stay on shelves for long.

You could also pick up the trug-style planters which are currently in stores for just £2.
