I let my friends book our hotel & instantly regretted it… the Pirates of the Caribbean decor was the least of our issues
Things went from bad to worse when they saw the bathroom
A GIRLS trip is a rite of passage for many 20-somethings, but when one woman left booking the hotel to her mates she had no idea how badly it would all go wrong.
Sarah Johnson probably thought he friends would find somewhere cheap and cheerful for them to stay, but the group ended up in a gross hotel complete with stained mattresses and Pirates of of Caribbean decor.
In a now viral TikTok, Sarah shared some snaps from the place the group allegedly booked for the trip.
The first snap shows a picture of three single beds, all without any sheets on and very suspiciously stained mattresses – not exactly what you want on any sort of getaway.
Bizarrely, the windows of the bedroom are blocked out with huge posters from Disney‘s Pirates of the Caribbean with the character’s glaring down at the sleeping area.
It only got worse from there though – the kitchen looked like it hadn’t had a deep clean in a long time, maybe ever.
And, much to Sara’s confusion, there was another Pirates of the Caribbean poster blocking out the window – this time with two different characters peeping inside.
Another bedroom had the same confusing posters and two more dingy mattresses.
And if you’ve ever wanted the be peered over by Jack Sparrow as you nip to the loo – you’re in luck, because a poster of the character is directly over the toilet in the hotel too.
But honestly, from the look of the pictures that would be the least of your worries.
The shower floor was coated in a thick layer of dirt and grime, and the handle of one door came right off in Sarah’s hand in another picture.
Unsurprisingly, people were both shocked and disgusted by what Sarah claimed was her hotel.
The video has so far amassed over 1.2 million views and hundreds of comments from alarmed social media users.
One said: “You know it’s bad when the Pirates of the Caribbean window stickers are the most normal part.”
Sarah replied to the comment: “No literally it was the least of my problems.”
“This is kind of jaw dropping actually,” a second wrote.
And a third agreed: “The mattresses should be the main concern here.”
“I’d sleep on the floor at this point,” someone else said.
And someone else joked that the hotel was simply “an authentic recreation of how pirates actually lived.”
“This is, in my opinion, an exemplary representation of a genuine pirate’s chamber,” another jokingly added.
Meanwhile, others thought the “friend” who booked the hotel must not have realised how bad it really was, no matter the low price.
Sarah didn’t reveal if her and her group of friends actually ended up sleeping in the strange hotel room, but she ended the video with a snap of the view from the plane window, suggesting that she jetted off home again.
