The Sun's gardening editor shares her top picks

The Sun's very own gardening guru Veronica Lorraine shares her thoughts on the discount retailer.

''Aldi's got some great ideas at the moment - perfect to give your garden a bit of a glow up, whether you grow in pots, on the patio, a windowsill or beds.

''And one of the best things is that they really are quality condition - they feel luxurious but at an affordable price.''

The pro added: ''Their decorative glass table is also worth splashing your cash on. Either use it for dining on - or if you're a bit worried about breakage then use it to display your beautiful plant in pots.

''A lovely feature to brighten up a dark corner - or to sit and relax while you drink your tea and gaze lovingly at your garden. ''

Veronica went on: ''Speaking of dark corners, the supermarket's Fuschias are blooming lovely at the moment - and the best thing about them is they're a perennial - so they should come back year after year.

''Once you've parted with your hard earned cash, they're the gift that keeps on giving. The perfect way to bring vibrant splashes of colour to your outside space - whether in pots or your beds.

''Just make sure you give them the occasional prune to stop them going too woody.''
