Stylist Kaka, who owns the New York-based , spoke exclusively to The U.S. Sun about the best ways to boost growth.

The professional explained that they experienced significant hair loss that led to visible bald patches.

According to the expert, reducing stress is essential for tackling hair loss.

"I remember losing patches of hair during a period of high stress, but once I improved my sleep hygiene and started eating regularly, my hair began to improve," Kaka explained.

The stylist revealed a snack they suggest to anyone hoping to boost their hair growth.

"In traditional Chinese medicine, black sesame seeds have long been believed to promote hair growth," they said.

"I’m not a doctor and can’t speak to the science behind it, but they sure are tasty and bring me lots of happiness."

The expert also revealed a common hair-washing mistake that may be damaging your locks.

"A common mistake I see with clients is being too thorough when rinsing out their conditioner," they said.

"I always recommend leaving a bit of product to maintain softness and shine."

Kaka highlighted the importance of maintaining a clean scalp for all hair types.

The professional advised rinsing out your shampoo completely and only applying conditioner from the midsections of your hair to the tips.

"For really greasy hair days, shampooing twice can be helpful," the expert said.

While leaving your hair in its natural state is the best way to prevent damage, Kaka shared some tips for anyone hoping to experiment with new styles.

"If you want a specific style, my motto is 'Slow and steady wins the race,'" they explained.
