The woman claimed that not only was the room ‘basic’, but the toilet was ‘vile’ and ‘rusty’.

Sarah-Jayne took to social media to share her experience of the mystery holiday, which is advertised at £99 online.

With this holiday deal - you could win yourself a trip to a variety of fabulous locations, including the Maldives, Dubai, Egypt or New York, just to name a few.

Even if you don't get the best options, you could still be given a two-night holiday with destinations across Europe including Spain, Portugal, Greece and Italy.

A Disneyland Paris trip or a Northern Lights tour are also on offer.

There are 2,000 holidays in the offer and they all include return flights from London airports including Heathrow, Gatwick and Luton.

But Sarah-Jayne was left gobsmacked at her hotel in Alicante, as she claimed: “Ok, this is your sign not to book a Wowcher mystery holiday deal.”

She revealed that she and her partner hired a car from the airport which they drove down to their hotel, but the pair were horrified when they checked in and had a look around their room.

Sarah-Jayne added: “This was the room that we got - the toilet, it was vile, the bidet and the radiators were rusty, the bath was rusty, all around the shower was disgusting, you wouldn't even have put your dog in the room.”

Not only did she describe the room as “so basic”, but she also claimed that the “massive duck egg blue hotel” looked “absolutely horrendous.”

And it wasn’t just the room that she didn’t like, as she also wasn’t impressed with the hotels’ surroundings either.

She claimed: “So this is what the hotel looked onto - a desert, basically - no bars, restaurants, nothing in sight.”

The content creator revealed that there was “not one English person in sight” and as a result, the couple ended up booking another hotel.

Using their hired car, the couple drove to Benidorm and checked into a new, luxury hotel, which of course, they had to pay extra for.

Sarah-Jayne explained that the couple were “greeted with champagne” and hailed it “absolutely amazing.”

The woman then shared: “We had to pay an extra £450 for two nights in a different hotel, but thankfully there were bars, restaurants, and the view was absolutely amazing.

“We paid a bit extra to go to luxury because the other hotel that we ended up in was absolutely disgusting.”
