AN INTERIOR designer has slammed a popular cushion trend that many people love.
Not only do Instagram mums obsess over this trend, but celebrities including influencer and mum-of-one Molly-Mae Hague is also a fan - but if you want your home to impress, you’ll need to listen up.
Kelly Hoppen, an Interior Designer, Author, Entrepreneur and Product Designer, who was also a ‘Dragon’ on BBC Two’s Dragons’ Den, has taken to social media to share her interior design pet hate.
Posting online, the curly-haired, South African-born star shared a short clip with the caption ‘Chopped cushions are a big no!’
Chopped cushions refer to creating a dip in the middle of a cushion using your arm - a bedroom staple loved by celebrities including Kim and Khloe Kardashian.
Doing the karate chop to your cushions is intended to make them appear more comfortable, plumper and softer.

The interior pro explained: “Another gripe of mine - Live, Laugh, Love - those kinds of wooden things that sit on book shelves and floating shelves, that’s so 10, 12, 15 years ago.”
NO GREY YAY: Julie Provenzano explained that grey interiors have been overdone.
She stressed: “We took a good thing and we overdid it to the point that it now feels copy, paste, basic.”
However, at the same time, many TikTok users revealed that they are fans of the chopped cushion trend.
One user penned: “Oooh I'm quite partial to a chopped cushion actually.”
