LIVING in a tiny caravan might not be your idea of fun, but this stunning caravan might just change your mind.

Mother and son duo Jo and Fred transformed one they bought for just £250 - and it's totally unrecognisable now.

The pair appeared on a recent episode of George Clarke's Amazing Places on Chanel 4 to show off the home on wheels.

As a puppeteer, Fred's career takes him all over the country, so having a home he can take with him is ideal.

Although they got a great bargain when they bought the caravan for £250, it came with more than it's fair share of issues.

From a leaky roof, mould and ceiling that was falling down, the space was totally inhabitable.

"It's all going to need ripping out," Fred explained to host George before the transformation began.

There was no furniture in the caravan, and the kitchen fittings were just as old and mouldy as the rest of the space.

The plan for the caravan was to totally recreate the space to somewhere Fred can socialise with friends and entertain on the road.

This included adding a seating area which transforms to a second bed, a whole new kitchen and a luxurious master bedroom.

Fred and mum Jo got to work ripping out almost all of the caravan's 40 year old interior, before starting again from scratch.

After a lot of elbow grease and hard work, the space was finally finished and even George was stunned by how good it turned out.

Going for a boho-inspired interior, Fred proudly showed off his new bad.

"It looks almost brand new," George said.

Inside, the kitchen now looked like something any home cook would be proud of, with plenty of shelves for storage and a posh cooker.

To keep the caravan's weight down, they opted for vinyl tiles as a backsplash, not that you'd ever be able to tell by looking at them, as George pointed out.

The caravan even has a shower and toilet on board, albeit a very small space Fred can still fit everything he could ever need in there.

The same goes for his bedroom, which is neatly tucked away at the back of the home on wheels, and features a full double bed.

After a clip from the show was shared to YouTube fans were quick to praise Fred and Jo's efforts.

One wrote: "It's hard work even for someone who is savvy with building... people have to understand that the van needs to be sealed properly roof windows floor, all of it!!! Which is a chew.

"Then you have to ensure the electrics are all working, inside and outside, then the gas pipes then when you've done that the hitch and wheels/tyres it's never ending but worth it in the end. Good job."

And a second agreed: "It’s fantastic to see another old caravan given a new lease of life."
