MESS STRESS

‘Not in my house!’ people rage as dad shows daughter’s VERY messy room… and even he compares her to ‘Stig of the Dump’

Others insisted they could entirely relate to the dad's situation

A DAD has left people stunned after showing how messy his daughter’s room is.

He took to TikTok to share a video in which he tried to get into his little girl’s bedroom, but struggled to even open the door properly.

There was barely an inch to spare on the bed, as people insisted they wouldn’t allow it in their house

“Am I the only person with a daughter who lives like this?” he wrote over the top of the clip.

He also added the hashtags “#stigofthedump #bewarned #daughters”.

Once he got into the room, he showed the huge piles of clothes that was strewn all over the floor.

He then turned the camera to pan over the clothes, as well as the wardrobe where her clothes “should” be kept.

On the top of the chest of drawers was an iced coffee cup, still full of half the drink, as well as multiple empty Diet Coke cans.

He turned the camera to show the windowsill, which had a few plants on it, as well as more rubbish.

And then he showed the bed.

There was barely an inch of clean space on the top of the mattress, with the rest of the bed covered in clothes, bags and more rubbish.

“There you go… it’s lovely isn’t it?” he said.

He concluded the video by adding: “Yeah, I told you it was a bit rough!”

Everyone can see the clothes in the messy bedroom but can you spot the diamond ring

The comments section was almost immediately filled with people weighing in on the messy room, with many insisting they wouldn’t allow it in their house.

“Not in my house!! No chance,” one person wrote.

“Exactly – mine wouldn’t dare,” another agreed.

“If you allow that’s what you end up with.”

“Absolutely no excuse for that, it’s grim,” a third commented.

Should parents charge their children rent?

Mum-of-two and Fabulous Digital Senior Reporter Sarah Bull weighed in on parents charging their kids rent. She explained:

“Kids are expensive! That’s a fact, and one that anyone entering the world of parenthood will be aware of.
“However, with the cost of living crisis hitting hard, it’s becoming increasingly difficult for many people to treat their kids in the current climate.
“So, some mums and dads have started charging their children rent.
“I do understand the concept. After all, it could be enough to cover a McDonald’s dinner for them or a trip to the pound shop.
“It also helps teach them about money and can advance their mathematical skills.
“But it’s not something I ever plan on implementing for my children.
“In my opinion, kids should be kids. And as paying for rent is something they may well have to worry about in their futures, I certainly don’t want them worrying about where it’s coming from at this age.

“Na sorry but no, she ain’t leaving the house till that is sorted out,” someone else said.

“Definitely not in my house – wouldn’t tolerate it,” another insisted.

“No because I wouldn’t allow it,” someone else added.

“Omg I could not deal with that,” another admitted.

But others said they could entirely relate to the dad’s plight.

“My daughters room is a complete mess,” one wrote.

“No food allowed.

“It’s her space and I just close the door. Door closed=no stress!”

“My daughter’s is exactly the same,” another said.

“Nothing to do with how she’s been brought up.

“I have 3 kids and she’s the only one like it.

“I feel your pain!”

“My daughter’s room is similar,” a third admitted.

“After years of stress and arguments and cleaning I now just close the door.”
