Eyebrow blindness has people in tears, says Kardashian brow tech – you need the ‘right shape’, not a ‘stencil’ approach
Eyebrows are the most important feature on the face, says the Hollywood brow king
UNTIL now, many of us have happily followed whatever is in fashion when it comes to creating a perfect eyebrow.
But Kim Kardashian’s brow technician explained that focusing on trends instead of your “face shape” is always a mistake — and the driving force behind “eyebrow blindness trend.”
The term describes people who have fallen victim to brow trends rather than choosing styles that flatter their features.
The viral craze has sharing throwbacks of their unflattering brows while calling out their past beauty mistakes.
Many felt misguided and questioned if they, too, were suffering from the same affliction.
“Do I have brow blindness,” asked Krystn Walmsley in her response to the trend.
“Are they supposed to be that high?” she frowned, pointing at her brows while using a filter.
Dozens of people flocked to the comments to share their thoughts.
Hollywood brow king also weighed in on the viral trend and how it highlights beauty “regrets.”
“Social media is now driving trends,” Roberts told The U.S. Sun.
“People are just not catching up to the fact that one must not follow fashion trends with brow styling.
“The secret is finding the correct shape for you individually to bring out your best.
“People have quickly jumped on any trend and regretted it several months later.”
The best brow for a Sarah may not be the best for a Brittany.

The stakes are even higher when you enter microblading into the equation.
The semi-permanent procedure can last anywhere from one to three years.
“We get at least three people daily in my brow salon crying over their regrets for doing microblading,” Roberts said.
“This is a tattoo on your face.
“Maybe now people can think it all through before committing to something that will be there for the rest of their lives.”
Over the years, like anything in beauty and fashion, eyebrow styles have come and gone.
Dictated by celebrities, fashion brands, and trendsetters, it has never been a case of anything goes.
The ’90 saw thin brows come back, with stars like Gwen Stefani influencing choices and plucking like never before.
Olivia Wilde’s slim eyebrows took shape in the early 2000s before the thick-set brow became a trend.
In the mid-2000s, everyone started letting it all hang out, thanks in part to Cara Delevingne and her famously bushy brows.
“I pluck a few, but I don’t shape them,” she told in 2015.
Then came laminating, tattooing, and the rise of brow-boosting products like Latisse.
Makeup blunders led to overly sculpted brows that looked like they were painted on.
SHAPE UP
According to , who has worked with Madonna, Beyoncé, and Rihanna, brows have come into their own.
“Twenty years ago, no one understood how brows are the most important, underestimated feature on the face,” he said.
“Now brows are everywhere, from commercials to salons.
“The secret to success lies in finding the correct shape for you individually and to bring out your personal best.”
Interestingly, filled and defined brows arrived with the Kardashian-Jenners.
By 2016, Kyle Jenner set the block brow trend. Kendall Jenner took on bleach in 2021.
Kim Kardashian’s standard brow routine is said to be uncomplicated.
She is said to wax and trim her brows before shaping them with foundation.
Kim also reportedly fills them with pencil and gel.
SQUARE UP
Roberts suggested brow styling must be “individual.”
He has always strived to get it right in his busy salon.
“Some people’s faces are oval, some are round, some are square,” he said.
“You can not give a stencil to the same face shape.
I always tell my clients, let us bring out the best version of you.

“We bring out the individual’s beauty whenever they enter my salon.
“People come into my salon with pictures of all the celebrities, and yes… Kim Kardashian is a beautiful woman.
“And coincidentally, I did her brows.
“Everyone else is beautiful in their own way.
“I always tell my clients, let us bring out the best version of you.”
Damone Roberts top 5 eyebrow tips
1 See a professional for guidance to bring out your personal best.
2 Don’t Tweeze more than two inches between the brows. Too much space makes the eyes appear smaller, the nose bigger, and the face fuller.
3 Always brush them upward, preferably with Damone Roberts Clear Brow Gel. It holds them perfectly in place without any flaking and artificial appearance.
4 Lightness raises, so for a quick wake-up use the Damone Roberts Brow Highlighters applied on the brow bone to open up your eyes.
5 Men must also take care of their brows. They groom the hair on their faces daily, so why neglect the hair above the eyes? Damone Roberts Brow Scissors are made for this in particular.
Now, with brow blindness emerging, what is in store?
According to, 2024 will include doll brows, soap brows, embellished ones, and more.
But Roberts explained that new trends and predictions may no longer be a factor thanks to recent concerns of brow blindness.
“In 2024 and moving forward, it is about finding the perfect shape for you,” he said.
“To fix mistakes, go to a professional. Make sure that you have seen their work.
“The best brow for a Sarah may not be the best for a Brittany.
“We recommend our Brow Gain for overplucking.
“Or if one brow has matured past its prime growing years.
“This vegan product, applied nightly, reignites the hair follicle.
“The product gives great results and has become our number one selling item.”
