I’m a 61-year-old gran – yes I’ve got cellulite but I don’t care, I’ll be wearing my swimwear all summer long

A 61-YEAR-OLD woman has revealed that she is proud to wear swimsuits.

Therese, 61, a grey-haired content creator, explained that she may have cellulite, but that won’t stop her posing in swimwear.

The influencer, who loves skincare, make-up and fashion, often preaches that ‘age is just a number’.

Posting on social media, the body confident woman shared a clip as she posed in her swimsuit, leaving many open-mouthed. 

Therese shared her clip with the caption ‘Mature women should be included in advertising, and not just thrown in as a “Token Granny!” And as for swimwear, let’s represent all sizes AND ages!!’

The curvy woman then shared her love for swimwear, but touched on the ageist advertising industry, as she said: “I love wearing swimwear, I wear it a lot.”

Therese modelled a black, floral cozzie, which she styled with a pair of Ray Ban sunglasses and a hat.

She explained that many swimwear companies don’t want to work with her to promote their products, and the ‘mature model’ assumed that her age may have something to do with it.

She continued: “I reached out to a lot of swimwear companies and I got nothing, it was crickets, maybe I was too old for them, who knows.

“But you know what, us women, I’m [61], I’ve got the money to spend, I love wearing swimsuits, and I wear them all summer long.

“If I was a company and I knew this, I would be throwing swimwear at women like myself.”

Therese, whose motto is 'ageism is never style', then added: “I am good enough.”

The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @, has clearly impressed many, as it has quickly amassed 53,300 views.
