Meet the Fabulous Beauty Award Judges
Ruby Hammer, Beauty entrepreneur.
Ruby’s career began on the shop floor in Harrods, where a chance encounter led to being invited to work as assistant to a leading makeup artist.
A few short years later, Ruby was a leading makeup artist, breaking boundaries as one of the first makeup artists of colour to feature regularly on British TV.
Her business brains led her to introduce some of the world’s most recognisable global beauty brands to the UK, before she launched makeup brand Ruby & Millie with friend Millie Kendall OBE in 1998.
Ruby’s most recent success is her signature capsule collection of beauty essentials, Ruby Hammer Beauty
In 2007 Ruby received an MBE from Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II for services to the cosmetics industry.

Sinead has witnessed the biggest moments in beauty for over two decades
Mum to teenage twins, she’s just as in touch with the wants of Gen Z as her own mid-life beauty needs, giving her a unique perspective (and a pair of in-house guinea pigs) to determine the best beauty products for all ages, especially the time-poor!
You can think of her as a far less scary Miranda Priestly.
Tara Ledden, Fabulous Beauty editor
Having spent the best part of a decade as a beauty journalist, Tara has tried tens of thousands of beauty products, including most of the cult classics we know today, and can pick out a winning product long before it hits shelves.

Tara joined Fabulous as Beauty Assistant in 2018 and has been heading up the beauty team since 2021, winning multiple industry awards for her journalism along the way.
With a roster of industry experts, from dermatologists, make-up artists, formulators and brand founders, on speed dial, she sees straight through sleek packaging and fancy promises, ensuring every product she recommends is worth the time and money.
Mira Parmar, Make-up artist
Mira is a freelance Makeup Artist and Hair Stylist based in London.
Her work takes her to destinations around the world including New York, South Africa, India, Thailand and Dubai to name a few.
Mira has a renowned reputation and an impressive client list that spans the beauty, fashion, advertising, celebrity, editorial, film and music industries
She is a perfectionist and takes great pride in her work.

Mia Lyndon, Fabulous Beauty writer
Mia first joined the Fabulous Beauty team whilst still at university – spending more time swatching eyeshadow than writing her dissertation.
Now Beauty Writer, she tests hundreds of beauty products, has a diary full of upcoming launches, and predicts the beauty trends that are about to be everywhere.
As the youngest member of Fabulous, Mia has a unique perspective on what makes Gen-Z tick – important, considering they’re the biggest beauty spenders globally.

She’s not afraid to get in front of the camera and is constantly reviewing new products, distilling her thoughts into videos for the Fabulous social channels and beyond.
She knows her kabuki from her spoolie, can draw winged eyeliner in the dark (seriously), and can weigh in on just about any product you throw her way.
Sarah-Jane Crawford, Hair expert
You’ll probably recognise Sarah-Jane from the TV, and if not there, then definitely the radio, thanks to her appearances on MTV, E4, Hits Radio, BBC Radio 1Xtra, E! Network, ITV2 and Channel 4.
After becoming a TV presenter in her mid-20s, she believed it was an unspoken rule to wear her hair “long” and “straight”, particularly on camera, and she’d chemically straightened her hair for almost a decade.
After finding many products on the market didn’t meet her expectations, Sarah-Jane set about creating her own hair care brand Clean Curls – what she doesn’t know about hair isn’t worth knowing
Fast forward to 2020, when all the salons were closed in lockdown, and Sarah-Jane finally began to embrace her natural curls.
