Ibrahim is the US National Education Director and Skin Expert at the French cosmetics brand .

Speaking to The U.S. Sun, she shared tips for defying the signs of aging.

“Often people tend to focus on caring for and protecting their faces, often neglecting their hands,” she said.

“Failure to do this may lead to the skin on your hands becoming dry, wrinkly, and scaly.”

SMOOTH SKIN

Ibrahim said staying on top of moisturizing hands is important to keep them looking young.

She recommended applying a hand cream or lotion regularly throughout the day and after washing hands.

“The moisture will stop your hands from getting dry and cracked,” she said.

“Another way to care for your hands is by protecting them from sun damage.

“Ensure you’re using SPF every day, even if it’s not sunny out, this can prevent age spots and hand wrinkles.

“As the skin on your hands is a lot thinner than other areas of your body, it’s important not to forget this step.”

BEAUTY BOOSTERS

Ibrahim said skincare routines should be paired with a healthy lifestyle for optimal results.

She revealed there are key nutrients to incorporate into a balanced diet.

“Include omega-3 fatty acids, vegetables, and food high in vitamins C and B to keep your skin healthy and your nails stronger,” she said.

Marla Ibrahim previously spoke to The U.S. Sun about the dangers of homemade skincare products.

She said lemon juice is often recommended as an anti-aging remedy and a natural ingredient for brightening skin.

Include omega-3 fatty acids, vegetables, and food high in vitamins C and B to keep your skin healthy and your nails stronger.

However, undiluted lemon juice can cause chemical burns and increased sensitivity to sunlight.

She also warned that rubbing ice cubes on the face in the hopes of tightening pores and reducing puffiness should be avoided.

The hack can cause broken capillaries and increased sensitivity.

Ibrahim said skincare routines should be simple with ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, vitamin C, and sunscreen.

Cleansing, moisturizing, and protecting against sun damage prevent premature aging and address common concerns.
