Sharing the fail on social media, the brunette beauty, who at the time was 29 weeks pregnant, posted a screenshot of what she ordered, versus what the outfit looked like when she tried it on.

In the short clip shared online, the content creator wrote: “Why you shouldn’t order off of Shein while you’re pregnant.”

Al revealed that she ordered what she thought would be a stylish, grey, ribbed two-piece set from Shein.

She hoped that the matching set - complete with a v-neck top and a pair of matching trousers - would be perfect for lounging around in whilst pregnant.

But alongside the video, Al attached the viral sound ‘I’m literally crying over my nails right now, they’re so ugly…this is what I wanted, ok? This is the pastels, and this is what I got’.

When the set arrived, Al was left mortified when she tried it on.

She then showed off her Shein ‘fail’, leaving many in hysterics.

She explained that she ordered a larger size than she normally wears, but it was still far too small.

Not only was the set incredibly tight, but the trousers were more of an ankle swinger look rather than a relaxed fit.

As well as this, instead of an oversized fit, the top was instead, like a crop top, with her baby bump on full display.

Seeing the funny side of the blunder, Al wrote: ‘Let's all laugh now….. I even sized up.’

But the woman, who is six foot, and was left blushing at the outfit fail, then added: “I really messed up on this one.

What is Shein and is it legit?

Shein is an online-only fast-fashion retailer, based out of China, that has become a number one shopping destination for many around the world.

The company was valued at $66billion in 2023, dwarfing that of popular high street brands Zara and H&M.

The fashion retailer was founded in late 2008, by entrepreneur and marketing specialist Xu Yangtian, also known as Chris Xu.

Shein is a legitimate selling website and is not a phishing scam.

But you may receive a disappointing order or run into shipping issues if you order from the site, according to reviews.

There have been swathes of quality complaints, which makes sense when looking at the price tag.

“I’m so embarrassed.

“I think I’ve just given up and will dress like Adam Sandler for the rest of my pregnancy.”

SOCIAL MEDIA USERS REACT

The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly gone viral and has since racked up 2.5 million views.

Social media users flocked to the comments, and many claimed that the same thing has also happened to them too.

How does Shein work and are other brands listed on their website?

Known for their cheap clothing, Shein sells its own products and acts as a marketplace for third-party sellers.

They do not sell designer brands, and in the past have been plagued by accusations of counterfeits and copyright violations.

Previously brands like Ralph Lauren and Oakley have sued the fashion giant for violating their intellectual property rights.

One person said: “Happened to me as well.”

Another added: “I ordered almost the same set but long sleeve and same! SO tight.”

A third commented: “I think it’s because you’re tall.”

Al then responded: “Just overall larger than the Shein intended demographic.”

I think I'm too tall from their website. Very sad

Whilst someone else wrote: “I never bought maternity clothes, I bought regular ones too but two to three sizes larger. I just like them better. You can wear that postpartum.”

In response, Ali replied: “That’s what I was trying to do.”

You should’ve ordered from the maternity section

But at the same time, many advised Ali to order directly from Shein’s maternity section instead.

One mother recommended: “Order from their maternity section for this type of stuff rather than the regular section! I just bought a bunch and they fit great!!”

To this, Al wrote back and shared: “Noted!! I think I'm too tall from their website. Very sad.”

A second chimed in: “You should’ve ordered from the maternity section. Got all of my maternity clothes from Shein.”

Another parent explained: “Omg I ordered all my maternity clothes from Shein and it was perfect.”

Al later penned and confirmed: “Really missed out not buying from their maternity section.”
