We bought a school bus for £2k and gave it a budget glow up to make it our tiny home – yes we’ve got a bin for a sink
A WOMAN has shown how she transformed a school bus into a tiny home for herself and her fmaily.
Carlene Robbins took to social media to show off the home transformation she did on a budget - including using a bin as a sink.
The mum revealed she bought the bus from their local school system for £2,000 and decided to turn it into a camper van to travel in.
In the post she showed the outside of the van which wasn't complete yet as she wanted to add an air con system and tires.
Inside the van, was a bunk bed that her husband made for them and the kids - both of which were double beds.
By the door of the bus was a sink and small kitchen counter top - to save money, they used a metal bin instead of a basin.

It seems that they used recycled wood to create boxes about the washing area for extra storage as well.
By the bunk bed was a small sofa that had a large table that could be pulled out so that the family could sit together and have dinner.
She had decorated the inside with a gorgeous flower theme including sunflower table covers, floral door handles and fake flower bouquets.
Updating fans on the progress, Carlene said: "A little update on our School Bus we bought from the local school system to turn it into our camper. Its been about 2 months since we started our build.
"We have the inside almost done we still have flooring and different drivers and passengers seats next on the list... Hubby built some cubbies above sink that lift up and out.We also installed a hot water on demand right at the faucet itself, it works great so there is no need for a hot water heater.
"He built a composting separator toilet so we only need a grey holding tank."
Another commented: "What a wonderful idea - looks so cute."
"Gorgeous," penned a third.
Meanwhile a fourth said: "OMG! So many beautiful details! Amazing, good job! Who would say it is so spacious inside? I love it! Enjoy!!!"
"Great progress, looks fantastic,” claimed a fifth.
