Redditor shared how she saved her strands, naming her favorite store-bought serum and an at-home DIY method.

"I use The Ordinary Peptide Density Serum on my hairline every night, plus I massage a rosemary/thyme water on my scalp one to two times a day," she said.

She explained that there was a method to her mixture madness.

"I boil the herbs with water then strain and put into a continuous spray bottle," she said.

Whatever route you take, she said one element is "key" — consistency.

"I have seen a ton of regrowth doing this, but I’ve been consistent for probably a year and a half," she added.

When asked how often she repeats the process, she revealed that she washes her hair every four to five days.

She was also pleased with the texture of both items.

"The rosemary water actually doesn’t make my hair greasy at all! And the ordinary product is a serum but not oily," she said.

She makes sure to only add product to those spots in need of regrowth.

Don’t underestimate a ‘firm’ method to trigger hair growth, says expert – there are some at-home remedies too

For best results, she massages the serum into her entire scalp the night before "wash day.";

If you want to try the buy for yourself, Sephora sells for $22.80.

The concentrated serum is described as a big help in restoring your hair's volume for extra density.

FAKE THAT VOLUME

She also has a couple of other tricks to fake the look of bigger tresses.

"I started doing a zigzag part that gives the appearance of having fuller hair," she said.

"You might also try getting shorter layers for more body!" she added.

Other Redditors shared their own methods for growing their mane.

"I've had great luck with the oral minoxidil," said one.
