‘I had no idea’ Tesco customers say after realising the easy way you can bag loads of FREE goodies – but there’s a catch
You will have to be quick if you want to bag the goodies
CASH-SAVVY shoppers have realised how you can get your hands on free items from Tesco.
With the costs skyrocketing, most of us are on the lookout for any freebies, whether that’s a designer purse from Superdrug or free household essentials from Primark.
Now, money-smart Tesco customers have spilled the beans on how you can get some of their offers totally for free – but there’s a catch.
The incredible discovery, which is bound to be a lifesaver for many cash-strapped households, was recently shared by mum Keely Collis who took to TikTok to inform others.
According to the savvy mum, who regularly posts parenting-related content on , there’s a simple way to bag bits that won’t cost you a thing.
However, it seems that this hack only works for those doing their shopping online – so, if that’s you and you’re trying to slash the expenses, best keep reading.
Keely said: ”If you do Tesco online shopping, type ‘sample’ in the search.
”And it comes up with all the free samples you can add to your shopping.”
The popular supermarket currently offers three different samples shoppers can get their hands on – but for a limited time only.
These include a can of refreshing Coca-Cola Zero Sugar Lemon Soft Drink, 150ml, as well as Fairy Platinum 3 Dishwasher Tablets and Foster’s Proper Shandy Lager Beer, 440ml.
If you’re keen to try them out, you still have some time, as the fabulous deal runs out September 19th, 2024 – and there’s another catch.
According to the retailer, which recently send shoppers into a frenzy with their candle dupe of a posh £240 version, customers will need to spend a minimum of £50 to qualify for the freebies.
Those looking to check the goodies out will also require a Clubcard – and there will not be 1p charge at the checkout; however, delivery and Click+Collect charges apply.
All chuffed with the freebies she’d managed to bag, Keely wrote in the caption: ”Little Tesco shopping hack.”
The video has clearly impressed many, as it’s racked up more than a whopping 500k views, with dozens flocking to thank the savvy mum.
One said: ”Mine worked and it showed me the three products that you have.”
What can I get with Tesco Clubcard?
TESCO'S Clubcard scheme allows shoppers to earn points as they shop.
These points can then be turned into vouchers for money off food at the supermarket, or discounts at other places like restaurants and days out.
Each time you spend £1 in-store and online, you get one point when you scan your Clubcard.
Drivers using the loyalty card get one point for every two litres spent on fuel.
One point equals 1p, so 150 points gets you a £1.50 money-off voucher, for example.
You can double their worth when you swap them for discounts with “reward partners”.
For example, £12 worth of vouchers can be swapped for a £24 three-month subscription to Disney+.
Or you can swap 50p worth of points for £1 to spend at Hungry Horse pubs.
Where you can spend them changes regularly, and you can check on the Tesco website what’s available now.
Tesco shoppers can also get Clubcard prices when they have the loyalty card.
The discounted items change regularly and without a Clubcard you’ll pay a higher price.
These Clubcard prices are usually labelled on shelves, along with the non-member price.
But it’s worth noting that just because it’s discounted doesn’t necessarily make it the cheapest around, and you should compare prices to find the best deal.
You can sign up to get a Tesco Clubcard in store or online via the Tesco website.
Another couldn’t wait for their haul to arrive, writing: ”Omg just added these to my delivery for tomorrow.”
Someone else was gobsmacked by the discovery, commenting: ”Oh wow had no idea about this. It actually came up, thanks.”
However, not everyone’s had luck with the shopping hack, as some claimed they didn’t get any freebies despite spending over the minimum requirement.
”Don’t work for me and my shopping is over 60 quid,” a shopper moaned.
