To slash the costs as much as possible, the thrifty parent used a frozen pepperoni pizza from the Just Essentials range at ASDA, which sells for under a quid.

, which has since racked up close to a staggering 900k views in less than a week, sees Sophie first cut the 97p pizza whilst it's frozen and then chucking the slices into her air fryer.

Along with the meaty pizza with the tomato base and shredded cheese on top, Sophie served slices of scrumptious garlic bread.

Before serving her children, the mum - who describes herself as ''low income'' - sprinkled a generous amount of table salt onto the plate.

But although the little ones may have enjoyed the ''nightmare'' tea, people on social media quickly came for the budget-friendly meal, with many pointing out the same thing.

''Cut the pizza when it’s cooked, it will be a lot easier,'' wrote one person.

Another said: ''I think u slice it after it’s cooked pal.''

Amongst the viewers who shared their thoughts in the comments section were also those urging the mum to find healthier alternatives that wouldn't break the bank.

One said: ''No judgement but a pack of potatoes and some baked beans are more filling than a well done salty pizza.''

''Vegetables cost like 50p!!'' wrote a fourth, whilst another was gobsmacked by Sophie adding salt to the pizza.

Heartbroken Single Mum Scammed Out of Holiday

A foodie shared how the single mum could make similar pizzas without sticking to the store-bought versions.

''If you want something fun for the kids to do. Get your usual bread, some tomato purée and cheese/other toppings and u can make little pizzas like that, it tastes fab and cheap to make.''

However, it wasn't all harsh criticism, as some flocked to hit back and show support to Sophie who was brutally described ''an utter mess''.

''Why is everyone hating? Is it just me who doesn’t care and eats pizza or whatever for every meal,'' a foodie wondered.

The latter sparked fury as concerned social media users said the dish contained ''too much'' sodium and the nutritional value was ''absolute garbage''.
