The young mum explained that "hours before" her family was due to board the overnight flight, her young son began to feel ill.

She explained that they managed to "bring down" the temperature shortly before they were due to take off.

While the couple contemplating postponing their trip, they said their tickets, which had cost them the equivalent of £2,200, were non-refundable.

They decided to board their flight, hoping that their son could "rest and recover" during the eight-hour journey.

However, Alina reported that the "flight turned out to be difficult" and their son "kept waking up and crying."

She described how she and her husband were "squeezed like a lemon" trying to soothe their baby during the journey.

However, TikTok users were less than sympathetic to the parents' situation.

Many viewers pointed out how dangerous it was to take the sick child on a plane.

I was a teen mum at 13 and had to take parenting lessons to learn how to do it but me and my man are determined to have four kids before our mid 20s

"Hey so this is insane! What did you think what would happen when you landed?" asked one unimpressed follower.

"My sons health is worth more than £3,000, it's priceless but that's just me!" said another parent.

"My baby is sick, I know, I'll get on a plane so if he needs emergency attention we can't do anything," commented a third person.

"The baby is sick but you choose to go on holiday because you don’t want to your [money] to go to waste?" asked another TikTok user.

"Good job, life of my kiddo is worth more than £2,000," wrote one mum.

"He was waking up and crying cuz he was in pain," pointed out one follower.

"Same situation, same airport. £5,000 in flights but my kids health is more important. Your decision though," wrote another commenter.

"40 degrees is a hospital admission! Not a flight to Thailand," commented one person.

"So what would you have done if his fever got worse mid flight and he had febrile seizures or something?" asked another viewer.
