A THROUPLE have shared some of the challenges that come with their three-way relationship, including being unable to all fit into the same bed, and their families' lack of acceptance.
Jay, 32, Ty, 27 and Sony, 25 have all been in a relationship with each other for a year.
Ty revealed that she feels like she gets the "best of both worlds" by having both a boyfriend and a girlfriend, and said that the tree of them have an amazing bond.
However, being in a throuple does have its downsides as the trio struggle to all fit in their double bed at night.
"You can never get enough space with three in a bed", Jay told .
Explaining the dynamics of their relationship, Sony said: "We're a full triangle, we all connect and have our own relationships separately and together."

Ty and Sony explained that they feel like both sisters and lovers and have a very special bond, separate from Jay.
"Honestly, this is the best relationship I've been in", said Jay.
"And it's not because there's two of them, it's because of the connection."
Unfortunately for the throuple, not everyone is supportive of their relationship, and they have received lots of harsh judgement.

Ty explained that she is the daughter of a preacher, and comes from a strong Christian family, so received harsh judgement from her family.
She said that those closest to her described the relationship as an abomination, and told her that she was going to go to hell.
"I'm just happy and in love", Ty said.
The throuple decided to start an Instagram account, to educate people on the dynamics of their relationship.
However, this led to a lot of comments from trolls, calling them "perverted."
What is polyamory?
Polyamory is the practice of having romantic relationships with more than one person at the same time, with the knowledge and consent of all parties.
It can refer to relationships where one person has multiple partners or spouses, or where all parties are in a relationship with each other, for example in a throuple.
According to , 6.8% of people in the UK have been in a polyamorous relationship.
Sony said that the trio aren't trying to convert anyone to their way of life, but just hope to make people understand that it is possible to be polyamorous successfully.
"I think it's understandable to feel like people who are part of this lifestyle might be either greedy or unhappy because we are conditioned to think that monogamy is the way and it's difficult to think anything other than that.
The trio have no intention of hiding their relationship, but said that they get a lot of looks when they're out in public together.
However, they don't let this bother them and said that they find other people's reactions entertaining.
"We don't care what people think", said jay.
