Fashion fan shares nifty way she found dupe of Jacqueline Jossa’s NTA dress on SHEIN & is praised for ‘genius’ tip
The dresses were under £20, compared to thousands for Jac's actual gown
A WOMAN has been praised for sharing her “genius” tip after revealing how she tracked down a dupe of Jacqueline Jossa’s National Television Awards dress on Shein.
Vic explained that she saw the stylish and sexy red dress EastEnders star Jacqueline wore for the star-studded event, and wanted to see if there were any cut-price copies on the fast fashion site.
So, she used a clever trick to do the search for her, and shared the process in a
“I saw this photo of Jack Jossa wearing this lovely dress from the NTAs,” Vic began.
“So I took a screenshot. You open up your Shein app and in the search bar there’s a little camera icon.
“If you click on that you can then select your screenshot, it scans it and then it will give you the results they have that are similar to the dress or the clothes that you like!”
As she demonstrated, the Shein app brought up a whole host of long red dresses with splits after scanning the Jac picture.
“I think that’s a really handy tool and everyone should be aware because I think it’s really good,” Vic insisted.
“SHEIN tool helps you find similar items if you are looking for something specific,” she captioned the video.
And the comments section was immediately flooded with people praising Vic for sharing the tip.
“OMG how did I not know this?! Just tried it!” one wrote.
“That is actually genius! All apps should do this,” another said.
“This is so handy to know! Thank you!” a third added.
“Thank you – deffo a game changer and a handy tip,” someone else praised.
“Omg thank you!” another said.
“I do this on google search all the time I didn’t know u could do it on SHEIN too!” someone else marvelled.
“No way!!!! Omg… thanks gal!” another gushed.
As someone else admitted “so many people don’t know about this”.
How does Shein work and are other brands listed on their website?
Known for their cheap clothing, Shein sells its own products and acts as a marketplace for third-party sellers.
They do not sell designer brands, and in the past have been plagued by accusations of counterfeits and copyright violations.
Previously brands like Ralph Lauren and Oakley have sued the fashion giant for violating their intellectual property rights.
“I’ve been doing it for ages it’s so much easier,” they added.
Jacqueline’s NTA dress was actually a Suzanne Neville design – with dresses from the designer typically costing thousands.
In comparison, the dresses Vic brought up with her Shein search were among the £20 range.
The most expensive was a ‘premium’ number that retailed for £53.
