AS the weather cools down it might be time for a little wardrobe update, and shoppers are loving this bargain buy from Marks & Spencer.

The stylish cardigan has even been compared to Chanel, but at just a fraction of the price you can look stylish without the designer price tag.

At just £35, the is a must-have for autumn and winter.

Available in both black and ivory, the stunning cardigan has a contrast neck time and cuffs for a timeless look.

It’s designed to be worn as an “elevated layering piece”, but could easily be dressed up or down to match your own style.

With all of that it’s no surprise shoppers are racing to get their hands on it before it’s gone.

The cardigan currently has 4.6 stars out of five online, and one person raved: “I absolutely love this cardigan. It’s smart like a jacket, it’s so comfortable, and it washes well. Five star everything.”

And a second wrote: “I saw this on fashion slot on Lorraine. Looked smart and easy to wear so bought it.

“It is great quality with a mixture of cotton and polyester. Will wear this lots.”

If you weren’t already convinced, a third said the cardigan as a “hint of Chanel.”

They also wrote: “I did find the sleeves rather long, but I can solve that little dilemma. I will enjoy wearing this in the future too.”

Meanwhile, another shopper also pointed out the similarities to Chanel, they said: “It looks like a Chanel and goes perfectly with jeans, navy pants or skirts.

Not everyone was totally obsessed with the piece though, as someone else said: “The cardigan looks good but is a bit shapeless because of the material which makes it quite heavy.

“Design is pretty just would have preferred a thinner thread.”

The cardigan isn’t the only piece from Marks & Spencer shoppers are loving right now though, fashion fans have been loving their new-in leopard print jeans too.

The store in Plymouth took to to share a look at the bottoms, which come in a wide leg cut with an on-trend animal print.

“New in, trendy and an Autumn must have,” they captioned the video.

“Will you be a leopard print girly this AW24?”

People were quick to comment on the video, with one writing: “Loveeeeee, need to buy these omg!”

Meanwhile, other shoppers have been obsessing over a discounted shift dress at M&S that would be the perfect addition to your wardobe.

Is supermarket fashion the new high street?

The supermarkets have really upped their game when it comes to their fashion lines. These days, as you head in to do your weekly food shop you can also pick up a selection of purse-friendly, stylish pieces for all the family. 

Tesco has just announced a 0.7 per cent increase in the quarter thanks to a ‘strong growth in clothing’ and M&S has earnt the title of the number one destination for womenswear on the high street.

Asda’s clothing line George has made £1.5 million for the supermarket in 2023, 80 per cent of Sainsbury’s clothes sold at full price rather than discounted and Nutmeg at Morrisons sales are also up 2 per cent in the past year.

So what is it about supermarket fashion that is becoming so successful?

Apart from the clothing actually being affordable, it’s good quality too – with many being part of schemes such as the Better Cotton Initiative.

A lot of the time they keep to classic pieces that they know will last the customer year after year. 

Plus because they buy so much stock they can turn around pieces quickly and buy for cheaper because of the volumes.
