ALDI shoppers are left fuming after noticing a major change to a fan favourite chocolate bar.
So if you’ve got a sweet tooth and regularly buy Aldi’s milk chocolate, then you’ll need to listen up and pay attention.
It comes after one bargain hunter was left feeling gobsmacked when he noticed a change in the recipe of his favourite milk chocolate.
Fuming with this find, Gary Pauline took to social media to alert others, leaving many open-mouthed.
Posting on , a private Facebook group with 304,900 members, Gary shared a picture of the old Essentials chocolate bar, alongside the new one.
He also shared a snap of the ingredients of both bars, which now differ in the amount of cocoa.

Clearly very annoyed, Gary snapped: “Aldi up to their old tricks.
“Surely the new chocolate should state ‘New Recipe’?
“30% to 27% and now with dried skimmed milk.”
Not only was he annoyed by the switch from whole milk powder to dried skimmed milk, but he was also unimpressed with the cocoa dropping from 30% to 27%.

In addition to the 3% cocoa decrease, he then added “Btw, it tastes awful, just like Kinnerton.
“Another off the list.”

Gary’s post has clearly left many Facebook users open-mouthed, as it has quickly racked up comments from other, equally as frustrated, Aldi shoppers and chocolate lovers.
One person said: “That is a shame as their cheap chocolate was nice, mainly used it for baking but I won’t be using that anymore.”

Another added: “I hate when they do this. Just put the price up or make the bar smaller. This is deceptive.”
A third commented: “They've managed to make the taste even worse than it was, that's quite an achievement.”
Why do Aldi and Lidl have such fast checkouts
IF you’ve ever shopped in Aldi or Lidl then you’ll probably have experienced its ultra-fast checkout staff.
Aldi’s speedy reputation is no mistake, in fact, the supermarket claims that its tills are 40 per cent quicker than rivals.
It’s all part of Aldi’s plan to be as efficient as possible - and this, the budget shop claims, helps keep costs low for shoppers.
Efficient barcodes on packaging means staff are able to scan items as quickly as possible, with the majority of products having multiple barcodes to speed up the process.
It also uses “shelf-ready” packaging which keeps costs low when it comes to replenishing stock.
Alongside crying emojis, one foodie admitted: “Time to find a new chocolate for my ganache.”
A fourth annoyed chocolate lover claimed: “This is dodgy, because it is a different product now but there is no mention of it being different.

“It should be clearly printed on the front or on a label that they’ve changed the recipe.”
However, at the same time, someone else tried to make light of the situation and joked: “Do you need the number for the police?”
