I got branded a paedo on my wedding day for kissing a ‘10-year-old boy’, they don’t know what’s really going on

A BRIDE has revealed how she was savagely trolled online after sharing photos from her wedding day.
Lauren Evens was over the moon to tie the knot with fellow bride Hannah Kaye after two years of dating.
But the 31-year-old hadn’t expected the barrage of abuse that would follow.
Lauren has been slammed for marrying someone so young, with many mistaking her new wife for a little boy.
Except, Hannah isn’t actually that much younger – she’s 29.
“Some people said it was cute that my 10-year-old son was walking me down the aisle,” says social media promoter Lauren.
“Others said it was disgusting that I was kissing a young boy.
“I paid thousands of pounds to look younger and change my body and appearance, but my wife is just very lucky to have incredible genes.
“She is two years younger – I am not getting arrested.
“Hannah is a tough nut but the comments offend me and they are incredibly hurtful.
“People think they have the right to call me a predator or a paedophile and that disgusts me.
“The amount of abuse we have received is just ridiculous.”
Hannah, who works as a specialist engineer, has always looked young for her age and despite approaching 30, is still asked for ID in supermarkets and bars.
Hannah said: “The negativity exploded when we uploaded our wedding photos.
“But even before that, any photo of us together would attract nasty comments, because I look younger.
“Our family has read those comments online and it upsets them, too.
“They are very protective of us both.
“Everyone has their opinion of my appearance, I’ve grown up with everyone having an opinion of me and how I look.
“I don’t acknowledge any comments; I just block them.
“I’ve heard them all before and the trolls are so narrow-minded that there is no point engaging with them.”
Hannah says that looking so young does have its inconveniences as it’s not just alcohol she has to provide proof of age to buy.
“I have to carry my ID everywhere we go and not just to buy alcohol,” she says.
“I’ve been refused when trying to buy a lottery ticket and even an energy drink.
“We recently went on holiday to Spain and had to show my passport and holiday booking to get an adult wristband.”
The couple met on Tinder two years ago, with Hannah popping the question in January 2024.
They wed at their local registry office in Surrey last month, hiring professional photographer Zoe Mills to take the images.
Looking to their future, the couple are now having IVF treatment, in the hopes that they will soon welcome their first child together.
They recently flew to Northern Cyprus to undergo egg retrieval surgery.
HOW TO REPORT SOCIAL MEDIA TROLLS
X, formerly known as Twitter, is one of the most common platforms for social media trolling, so the bosses have come up with lots of ways to combat the keyboard warriors.
The social media site is fighting back against trolls with:
- A ‘mute’ feature which allows users to block notifications based on certain keywords and phrases
- By allowing users to collect multiple tweets, and therefore multiple users, in a single complaint report called a ‘moment’
- You can also report an entire profile, if it has been set up purely to spam or post harmful content
On Facebook, you can report abusive photos and posts by clicking the arrow in the top right hand corner, and then ‘report post’.
On Instagram you can click on the elipses on the top right hand corner of the post to report a post, the same elipses can be found next to invidual comments.
The method can be used on TikTok to report both videos and comments.
Lauren added: “Strangers online can say what they like but we have never been happier.”
She had struggled with her weight since childhood and claims she built an unhealthy relationship with food after the passing of her dad in 1999.
After suffering from her mental health, as well as being in a toxic relationship, she finally made the decision to overhaul her lifestyle and shift the pounds.
At her heaviest, she weighed 22 st 10lbs.
But, after trying various diets, she struggled to lose weight and decided to opt for gastric sleeve surgery, where a large part of the stomach is removed, in Turkey – costing £2,000.
After the surgery in July 2022 and five weeks of recovery, she claims to have lost over 11st and now weighs 11 st – halving her body weight.
At the time she said: “The surgery has changed my life, and my confidence and I have grown so much as a person.
“The only regret I have is that I wish I did it years ago.
“I am made up, as so many people give me compliments.
“My friends and family have been really supportive and they’re just happy I’m happy.”
