My husband said he loved me the day we met online – but when I finally moved countries to be with him, he gave me an STI
She saw the red flags as soon as he landed in the Philippines
A FIANCE revealed her shock after discovering her partner who she knew for 90 days cheated on her straight away.
Faith, who works in the housekeeping department, always wished to move to the US until she met her partner Loren.
The couple gave an insight into their relationship on the reality show 90 Day Fiance.
Loren had always dreamed of marrying a trans woman, but finding the right person in the U.S. proved challenging.
So, he decided to look for love abroad and downloaded a couple of Filipino dating apps. Almost immediately, he connected with Faith.
Even though they had never met in person, they messaged each other daily.
Loren quickly developed deep feelings for Faith, admiring her hardworking spirit and close-knit family.
Remarkably, Loren and Faith told each other “I love you” within the first day of chatting.
To Loren, Faith seemed perfect in every way.
Six months later, Loren spent his entire savings to fly to Manila and meet Faith in person and stayed with her in the Philippines.
But as the reality show followed their relationship, it began to show some turbulence.
Changing plans
Faith was taken aback when Loren decided to stay in the Philippines, instead of returning to the US.
Speaking to Loren on the documentary, she says: “I didn’t know (you wanted to stay in the Philippines) because you know, I thought if we were going to be together, we were going to move to the US?”
Speaking to the cameras, Faith continues: “It’s a big shock for me, he always knew that I hoped to move to the US and he never told me if he wanted to live here instead.”
But what really gnawed at her was this overwhelming feeling that Loren was keeping secrets.
Other women
And she soon uncovered the truth that Loren was seeing other women, and he caught an STD.
Speaking on the show, Faith says: “I made the wrong decision.
“I’ve made such a bad decision.”
From Loren’s perspective, he thought their relationship was open.
Speaking to camera, Loren, who had to go to the clinic to get seven days of medication – which he called “fun pills” – to clear his STD, says: “She’s very upset, and now I don’t even know if she will talk to me again.
“This could be the end of everything.”
But Faith was under the impression they were in a monogamous relationship.
To make matters more complicated, Loren had been on actively searching for women on the same dating app he met Faith on, and the little money he came over to the Philippines with went on his medication.
Talking about Faith, Loren says: “She’s the one upset. She’s very upset, and I don’t know if she will ever talk to me again.
“This could be the end of everything.”
He went onto admit he knew Faith didn’t understand him when he said he wanted to spend nights at other people’s homes.
To add to this, Loren’s finances were questionable to Faith.
When Loren first touched down in the Philippines, he was travelling light – just $46 in his pocket.
Money troubles
He casually told Faith he had more cash tied up in a “pending charge” and was anxiously waiting for his paycheck to clear.
In a bid to ease the strain, Loren converted all his money into Philippine pesos, hoping it would stretch further.
Speaking to the cameras, Faith insisted she wasn’t with Loren for his finances; she believed there were plenty of opportunities to make money back in the U.S.
It seems that Loren and Faith are still together today. The trip featured in the show happened in November 2023, but they are currently navigating a long-distance relationship with Loren back in America and Faith staying in the Philippines.
Loren appears to have convinced Faith that he’s the one for her, but fans will have to wait for the rest of this season of to see how their story unfolds.
