A MUM of two has revealed how she gave her kitchen a stunning makeover for just £100.
Sophie Cullen moved in to a doer-upper three and a half years ago, and immediately began transforming her place into her dream home.
When she first moved in, her kitchen cupboards were an outdated brown colour, which Sophie was not a fan of at all.
"I just don't get how anyone thinks it did anything for the kitchen before", she said on TikTok.
"They paid to get those cupboards!"
Determined to revamp her kitchen Sophie asked a friend to give her a quote, but was told it would cost her £2000 just to get the cupboards painted.

"I'd expected it to be £500 to £750, I was mortified", she said.
Instead, Sophie decided to give the cupboards a temporary makeover on a budget, but three and a half years later, her DIY cupboards are still going strong.
To start her project, Sophie sugar soaped the cupboards to get the "years of grease off."
"I didn’t want to sand them as they’re a smooth finish already and that’s the finish I wanted to keep," she said.

She then painted the cupboards using V33 Renovation Cupboard & Worktop Paint in Cotton, which can be purchased from Amazon for £28.
She used just one tub to cover all of her cupboards and side panels with two coats of paint.
"It's good coverage and has lasted three and a half years so far", she said.
Sophie said that it took her "many, many hours" to paint the cupboards, as there were 38 of them.
However, she added that it was definitely worth it, as she was able to change the "whole aesthetic", of the kitchen.
She added that you can't see any streaks in the paint at all, and that it has never peeled off when she cleans the kitchen with bleach.
To finish off her kitchen revamp she purchased some gold cupboard handles on Amazon and fitted them on to her cupboards.
