I slept with my COUSIN after breaking up with my boyfriend – he was so much better in bed and I don’t totally regret it
IT'S not unusual to have a rebound after ending a relationship, but one woman took things to another level when she got into bed with her cousin.
After ending things with her boyfriend, the anonymous woman sought comfort from her cousin, who she claimed she didn't even know she was related to until a few years ago.
She explained that she thought she was set for life with her ex, but that all came crumbling down when he was outed as a cheater.
That's when her second cousin decided to check in to see if she was ok.
"He messaged me about a month or so after the breakup to see if I was ok as he saw a story I post on my Instagram," she explained on Reddit.
She then explained what happened and her cousin comforted her and from then on, spoke to her every day.

"It felt so good to have a man who was sensitive and caring talking to me about this, that there were still good men in the world," she added.
The pair continued to bond, and as their relationship progressed they ended up meeting in person.
She drove two hours to see him and had a "wonderful day" together, despite both being "shy people".
A few drinks at his house later, she admitted she was getting "a little too comfortable with him" as they began dancing together and inching closer and closer.

Eventually, they ended up cuddling on the couch, "I didn't think anything of it, I was feeling lonely and just wanted comfort," she explained.
Things then went from bad to worse when he suggested she should stay the night after she fell asleep on him.
He took the spare bedroom and she took his bedroom, since he claimed it was the warmer option of the two.
After 15 minutes, she ended up messaging him to ask for a blanket and things went from bad to worse.
"Then I invited him into the bed," she confessed.
"After a couple of seconds of just being awkward and silence I asked him would it be weird if we kidded, I think he said 'I don't know' and kind of shrugged a little bit.
"But we leaned into each other and started making out. Then it lead to a whole lot more," she added.
The fling didn't end there though, and they ended up "going at it again" in the middle of the night, then again in the morning.
"It was exhilarating. He did things to me my ex could never accomplish.
"It was amazing pleasure I'd never felt from a man, he made sure I was satisfied too, my ex never did," the woman revealed.
By the time breakfast time came around things began to get awkward, so she got ready to go home and decided to talk to him about what they did but heading off.
"He said it should be a one time thing and I agreed because we are related and it shouldn't happen again," she explained.
And one awkward goodbye handshake later, it seemed to be over.
"I drove home and cried the whole way because I was so upset with myself that I wanted him, I wanted more," she admitted.
He is definitely my type, so the cousins thing is really throwing my brain.
The woman ended up messaging him to thank him for a "fun night" and explained that even though they shouldn't do it again, it was far from meaningless sex to her and she "didn't regret it".
Days went by before he messaged again, and the pair kept in touch, but things were never the same, according to the woman.
"I messaged him a couple more times over the past few weeks, he replied every time with thanks and hoped I'm well too, but it was pretty obvious that he didn't want to speak more," she said.
"The worst part of all of this is, I miss him a lot and I do and don't regret it happening. I do regret because we aren't the same and I wish we were the way before we had sex.
"And on the other hand , I don't regret it because it was really special to me."
The cousin was the second person she'd ever slept with, she explained, and feeling wanted again after her breakup left her feeling confused.
"I had a better time with him that night than I did years with my ex. He is definitely my type, so the cousins thing is really throwing my brain.
"I definitely won't pursue anything with him, it feels too wrong simple because incest. But my heart does hurt knowing it can't be. I miss him," she wrote, before asking for advice from fellow Reddit users.
Reddit's reaction
After sharing her story on social media people chimed in to offer some advice.
One said: "In a very genuine manner, seek professional help. This is a lot to deal with on your own, and whatever you do, no more Sweet Home Alabama.
"Best of luck to you and I hope you find healing."

A second had a similar reaction and said: "You make choices and they can change you and your relationships. This is life, some decisions we regret, so we do not regret, and others we wish we could do over.
"You heard it here first, accept the things you cannot change."
